Repainted Vehicle Care

Team Adam's

Question

I just got my vehicle repainted and I can not use any type of sealant/wax products on the paint. What do you recommend I use while the paint is still curing?

Freshly painted vehicles require a special cure time. The shop that does the work can give you an approximate cure time for your specific application. Adam’s Car Wash Soap and Detail Spray contain no wax properties, which make these two products ideal during the cure process; keeping the paint clean and shiny until wax can be applied.

Note: This process does not apply to new vehicles. New car manufacturers bake the paint at the factory, which expedites the out-gassing process. Even when you buy a brand new vehicle, it important to clay, polish and protect your new investment. New cars sit on dealer lots, are transported by car haulers and sometimes shipped by rail which can lead to all sorts of contaminates to be imbedded in the paint. See “New Car Care” section for more details.
