I have a gallon of glass cleaner that I purchased about a year ago that I store in a cabinet in my garage. The temperature fluctuates since I live in NM where it's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I went to refill my glass cleaner this weekend and noticed there was a bunch of mold (or what looks like mold) growing on top of the gallon class cleaner. I suppose it being relatively warm and sitting in a dark cabinet that it could grow mold. But since it's a cleaning product, I was a little surprised that mold could actually grow.
I guess I need to store my gallon refills indoors in the future (less temperature extremes). Is this possibly just the chemicals separating since it's been sitting? Has anyone else had anything like this happen?
