Auctions America Fall Auction by RM, Auburn, Indiana 2011

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!!

Part of the team and I arrived yesterday back for more madness here in Auburn! We are here a full week ahead of the auction this time out to provide detailing services to potential car sellers! This thread will be pictures from the Auction, and things that happened before and during.

Today, I was able to snap only a few pics, as the lighting was not really "on" in the building. RM is still setting up a good bit of the park for the big week coming.

On the books to be detailed out by the Adam's Shine Squad thus far:

1938 Cord Phaeton

1974 Stingray

1932 Chevy Roadster

1970 Chevelle

These won't happen until next week, so those pics will be up then. In the meantime, please check back daily, as I will be uploading pics when I get back to the hotel room every night!

Here is today...

HELLLLLLLO!

We booked one more car today for next week...a '57 Chevy...BLACK! That will be done as soon as it gets here...it left NC on a Reliable Carriers truck last night. SO, that means the team and I could be on this as soon as tomorrow! I hope :D

Took some more pics today...still not a lot going on here, and still a LOT of setting up for the auction to be done.

Here ya go!

I'll look for you guys when I make an appearance at the auction. Do you have a booth set up, or are you just detailing while you're here?

Nick, we will have a big booth inside (I think Thursday that is live), and also a detailing booth outside.

Once again, the Shine Squad WILL wipe down EVERY vehicle with DS right before it hits the stage!

The Adam's booth will open up on Thursday. We have a big 10' by 40' booth indoors.

See you there!

Couple more to show...I took the insect pic on a car outside the hotel this morning....

the pics from here on out should have better lighting...as they turned juice on in the building!

Oops. Posted this in the worng thread. I'll just leave it anyway since it has to do with the Auburn Auction

Of course I'll visit! I just bought some Swirl and Haze Remover, haven't even used it yet.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

Good places to eat... I assume you have a smart phone for exact driving directions. I'll also skip the chain restaurants.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

All these are good, so no need for me to elaborate, at least not much.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

In Auburn<o:p></o:p>

Mad Anthony's: Pasta, chicken, wraps, pizzas, excellent micro brew, and a bunch very interesting food. Neat decor. My favorite place. Downtown Auburn, by the Courthouse. Not a steakhouse, but most definitely worth a stop. <o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Sara D's: Italian A four or five star (I think) restaurant, but haven't made it there yet. Reviews are excellent.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Cebolla's: Go north I-69 to the next exit (~2 mi). Off to the left by the theaters. Another local favorite.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Fort Wayne (take I-69 South to the Dupont exit, about 8 miles). Hang a right on Dupont. There's about 3 miles of mostly local food places, such as:<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Trolley Bar: Steaks, chicken, seafood. Upscale, somewhat pricey tho.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Bandidio's: Another excellent Mexican restaurant.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Casa: Italian, upscale, but very reasonably priced food. Steaks, fish, chicken, seafood, veal. Has one of my favorite garlic dishes<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

Of course I'm missing a bunch, let me know what you might like, and I'll point you in the right direction.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>

BTW the Cord Museum was the place the founding members met for the beginning of the Corvette Museum.<o:p></o:p>
