Since you asked... I think unless you're a smoker, that they take away from the looks of the vehicle. DO NOT use the ones that go on the outside. I've seen them remove paint.

I just removed thye regular black ventvisors and installed in channel chrome. I have had regular on all my trucks and suv's. I like the in channel a lot better. Just my .2 cents.

In-Channel is the only way to go. I'd also recommend getting them from Weathertech and not AVS. The Weathertech visors are a much heavier and higher quality acrylic than the thin and easily damaged AVS pieces. I can't tell you how many AVS visors I've seen shatter from being hit by rocks or debris while driving. It will take a lot more than a pebble to shatter a visor from Weathertech. Yes, they are more expensive, but they will last longer and look better than the AVS units.
