JBlack151
Porsche Carrera S Detail As the title says, up next for a detail before the winter arrives was this silver Porsche Carrera S. The car was in really good condition since it doesn't really get used too much, but the owner wanted to have it all cleaned up before it gets stored for the winter. I started off attacking the wheels, tires and fender wells with some APC and GWC and my favorite Adam's tools, the Wheel Whoolies. I always look forward to using these things since they work wonders on so many different areas on a vehicle. Next was a good washing with the Adam's Car Shampoo and APC to strip off anything that was applied prior to this. Then I used the Adam's Clay Bar and Detail Spray to make sure the paint was free of anything the wash couldn't remove. Overall the paint was in great shape, but there was a good collection of bee droppings caked on there which are a PITA to remove. They're also really hard to find on certain colors since they are so small. It was time to get my "Flex" on to make it a German on German battle. I did a round of SHR and FMP. Since I knew the car wasn't really going to be put into harsh weather and I didn't have time for the full cure process of the MSS I decided to hit the whole car with QS. After 30 minutes I applied some BG by hand and 2 light coats APW. Well let me tell you something. After these steps I engaged in total FACE MELT with the results. I moved on to the interior where I discovered the leather seats and dash needed some serious conditioning. This is most likely because of all the sunlight and heat hitting them when the top is down. Before conditioning it hit everything with a good vacuuming and cleaned all the interior with some Leather & Interior Cleaner. I also took care of the carpets with some Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner and the Carpet Brush. From there it was time to hit up all the interior with Leather Conditioner. The seats and dash sucked this stuff up quick so I applied another light coat for safe measure. Marylander
I think it's absolutely hysterical that in the background of the first pic you can casually see an Amphibicar in the garage.i mean, really... How often will one ever see THAT?
