DemoN
So when I located my 65 to the “front room” it kinda became a focal point of when you walk in the house. It’s the first thing you see and I hate seeing all those wires and since I bought the house I wanted to do something cool to that wall.. So I headed out to home depot to get started on doing something there First…paint. :read: pulled the tv, washed the wall, taped it all off, and 3 layers of this awesome red I found Now for the slats. I decided on cedar cuz of the price and all the kickass knots in it My Cuz, and his wife, came over to help We put the TV back up, now that the top slats set the new location (ended up moving down about 4 inches from original location) Ok, enough check fitting, time to stain! I debated stains, but in the end decided that an ebony stain would look pretty sharp and allow the red of the cedar to bleed thru. Had minimal space to stain, so it took a bit. All that’s left is the center 8” board. Not the vertical rope lighting. REALLY high lights that red!

Vink70
Thats different and I think I like it. Not overly done. Will the power strip be staying on the ground permanently? Where is the xbox getting mounted? What about some form of a removable bottom trim to hide all the cords and stufffff? Nice little weekend project though! Osok
Can i ask why you mounted the tv off center? It looks like its over to the left side quite a bit more.
THE Mook
Can i ask why you mounted the tv off center? It looks like its over to the left side quite a bit more. If you look though, I think it's more centered in the room vs the wall.
DemoN
Can i ask why you mounted the tv off center? It looks like its over to the left side quite a bit more. Tv is offset for several reasons: 1.I like the offset look. i feel it gives it more of the modern look i wanted. 2.Structural requirements of stud locations 3.The right side is where the a/v equipment is/was gonna go. 4. mook is correct, it centers better in the overall space of the room 5.??? 6.Profit.
