I could see a new Explorer replacing the wifes Envoy relatively soon. Even though Ford may have borrowed some styling cues from Aston and Jag, I'm just betting that it's not everyday that you run up against one of 'em at a stop light or in a parking lot in 'Bama. Redbeard Posted December 12, 2012 Share Posted December 12, 2012 EcoBoost is Ford's marketing jargon for their line of direct-injected turbocharged engines. The DI is supposed to increase fuel economy and reduce emissions, while the turbo gives it the power of a larger engine (such as substituting an EcoBoost V6 in place of a NA V8, though the trend seems to be smaller displacement 4s that make decent power without sacrificing mpg). I'll forgive you for buying this ford on the circumstances of that awesome Charger you have (just don't sell that). Looks great though!
