Wgeffon
Is APC the stuff to use prior to a full wash to remove bugs and tar? If not, what should I be using? Seems to me it would strip off wax that's on the paint.
0 Holder
Bugs, no. Waterless Wash before you wash will help brake down the bugs. Tar, yes. APC will brake tar up an make it easier to remove. At the same time removing your protective coating. I would clay and wax after using APC to remove tar. To be sure you removed all the tar, clay the area. Them go back with sealant or wax. 0 ihaveacamaro
I find APC to be great at helping remove bugs off the front of the car.... much better than waterless wash imo, especially if the bugs have baked on. Don't let it dry, and always wash and wax afterwards. Rick72
0 Mark L
I too use APC for bugs and tar, I spray it on there and let it sit while I do the wheels, then gently go over the bugs with my Boar's hair lug brush and then spray it down with soap from my foaming wash gun. It seems to work wonders.
