Silly Question -polishing the roof

Okay so here's a silly question for the good people out there. I tried polishing the roof of my car, but I wasn't quite tall enough. I tried grabbing a chair to stand upon, but lacked the balance to keep the chair from wobbling thus making polishing quite the challenge. What do you use to reach those areas? Step ladder? Motorized platform? Climb the door? Any advice is most appreciated. Thanks!

Ditto,  Lowes usually has them on sale every once in a while for $19.99. That is when I got mine and it works great for getting up to get the roof of my full size GMC Sierra pickup.

Got mine on Black Friday. $17/tax. I'm a painting contractor, so I had to have one... Then I started polishing my truck...LIGHTbULB!

 

I'm 6'2" and the platform worked great.
