Only using power wash bad for the paint?

ericR

Question

hi guys!

Here in Sweden all the car washes only have power washes, no regular hose. so is that bad for the paint, or wax?

Honestly i don't know how i would get the car clean with the hose Adam uses (no pun intended) in his videos, i usually have to put the nozzle right up to the car to get all the gunk off, Maybe we have more bugs and birds in Sweden :D

Hi Eric -

I'd suggest giving your car a good, thorough cleaning with the pressure wash hose, then protect the paint with Adams quick sealant or liquid sealant. One coat is good, two is better. That alone will make dirt, bugs, bird droppings, etc far easier to get off the car. You can use waterless wash for cleaning up the occasional light funk, and doing full washes with the power washer will be easier -- you won't have to be as aggressive wit ht he spray. You'll likely want to reapply the sealant every 6 moths or so to maintain effectiveness. It's super-easy to apply.
