Also belong to a Corvette Club, here in MI, GMCCorvetteset club, and we have a show in June at a pretty unique location in Lake Orion, MI. Our show is typically only Corvettes, unless we add a "special marque" vehicle, and this year it is Jaguar. Our show benefits "Leader Dogs for the Blind" organization, and all of our club fund raising activities also go to this cause. Leader Dogs is a self funding, sufficient organization which provides dogs to those who need them FREE of charge! The actual costs associated with raising, and training these dogs is approximately $38,000.00 for each one, and the organization relies strictly on private donations for funding. In our opinion it is a worthwhile organization to try and assist, and through our show and other events the past few years, we have donated about $10,000.00 to them annually.
