Dan@Adams
I'll start by saying that I don't like being bored, and I'm a bit of a nerd and artistic person, so when I saw this online, I knew I had to make one. Constructed mainly out of one large Adam's double-wall cardboard shipping box. It took me about a week to make, working on it a little each night after work. I will provide a full materials list at the end of the finished result post Hmm, what am I up to now? Starting to shape a few of the triangle pieces. Any guesses? And NO CHEATING by looking at the photobucket URL. Well, if you do, don't post it up to ruin the surprise for everyone else. Dan@Adams
Some of the cardboard pieces hot-glued together. One more clue, I had to peel all of the Adam's shipping tape off of the cardboard to have a smooth surface and cut down on weight. Dan@Adams
One roll each of red, chrome, and blue duct tape at $3.97 a roll. You could also substitute white or normal gray/silver duct tape in place of the chrome roll, but I wanted to get creative. Any guesses yet? Dan@Adams
More cardboard hot-glued together. The cardboard should preferably be double-wall for strength. Edited June 14, 2015 by psu goat

Dan@Adams
Since no one is guessing, here's another update, lol...all 20 cardboard pieces glued together. Edited June 14, 2015 by psu goat

Dan@Adams
Chrome strips for support, and 5/8" thick polypropylene rope hot-glued around the edge. I torched the ends of the rope so they wouldn't fray. Edited June 14, 2015 by psu goat
Dan@Adams
This one will probably give away the surprise...covering the rope with red duct tape.

Dan@Adams
Then I covered the whole front with red duct tape, making sure to lay it smooth to keep bubbles and creases out.

Dan@Adams
Ok no more suspense... Next I put down 12 wedge shapes with the blue duct tape to form the center circle, then started putting on the star pattern.
Dan@Adams
Next was cutting out the chrome arcs for the next circle section. Then I hot-glued handles onto the back from a 15-foot ratchet strap from Home Depot ($3.47). ... ... ...And the finished result... ... ... A full-scale flying Captain America Shield frisbee! Dan@Adams
It should provide plenty of fun on my charity road rally with Rally North America next month. Once I start a thread for that, the reason why I made the shield will make a little more sense
Dan@Adams
This isn't my video, but it shows how good it flies!
