Tire and Rubber Cleaner to Detail Engine Compartment???

I was just watching the video on the new Tire and Rubber Cleaner ad Adam mentions that it's safe to use on all surfaces. Would there be any advantage to using it on the plastic/rubber portions to clean my engine compartment instead of APC? 

 

I'm getting my Bullitt ready for winter and the engine compartment is next.

I would stick with APC. It's a lot cheaper and you probably wouldn't see much difference. I don't think it would hurt by any means though.

It's meant more for tires, plastics that have wax on them, or oxidized trim. 

 

Use APC as mentioned above. It will degrease more and be more cost effective.

You can most definitely use TRC in your engine compartment.
