3.5 or 4 inch backing plate

I received my Swirl Killer and now have my PC that I want to convert to use 4 inch pads.

 

What size is recommend as a backing plate? I see I can get either a 4 inch from Adams or 3.5 from Lake Country.

 

I plan on using Adams pads

Get the Adam's 4” Machine Polisher Backing Plate since you will be using Adam's pads.

 

The face of this backing plate actually measures a little less than 3 inches, and the Velcro on the 4" pad measures about 3.25 inches, which allows you to center the pad and not have any edge of the backing plate sticking out, to help prevent damage should you accidently bump the side of the pad into the car.
