Since I went to a bigger tire on my truck, my tires are now sticking out about a half an inch from my truck. I am going to order a set of fender flares but I have a dilemma. Should I paint the flares to match the truck or keep the black plastic look? My truck is black and I'm thinking that if I keep the plastic look, VRT would make them look awesome and stand out from my paint. Any input would be great. Thanks.

Since your truck is black I think that'd look fine. Most of the guys that USE their trucks here in farm country have the plastic ones unpainted but the guys who don't use their trucks (like me) have the pretty painted ones. Mine on my Ford weren't available black as they are only available on the stripped down versions. I have 90,000 miles on my painted ones without an issue of chips and what not.

Well I painted mine (see pics below) but I have a red truck which is obviously a bit different than a black truck. I still think they look better painted but on a black truck its not nearly as big of a difference. I know these are Fords but hopefully these will help ya make a decision.

That is sick flex!!! I love it. I would take both of those trucks.

I say keep em black and use VRT.

I'm lucky that my truck is black because I don't think that I can go wrong with my choice. I think I'm going to go with the unpainted option. I think that the unpainted with VRT would make it look a little tougher. Now it's off to find a good deal on a set. Thanks for the help everyone.
