Tips of Adam’s Strip Wash shampoo please.

Tommymon

Question

Plan:

3pH bucket wash -> Paint Cleanse -> Strip Wash (bucket or Foam lance?) -> Prep -> Sealant

I wanted to try out Strip Wash shampoo to see if it actually help degrease the paint before applying a new LSP.

My questions are:

1. What’s the best to use Strip Wash, bucket or foam lance?

2. If I use with foam lance, can I use it with the one that was used to apply acidic chemicals? (I know Strip Wash is NOT pH neutral, but am not sure exactly what it is.)

3. What should be the dilution ratio if used with foam lance?

Thanks :)

You can use it either way, or both. Assuming the canister was cleaned out thoroughly I don't see an issue, but if in doubt, just use in the bucket. Add 3-4 ozs of soap would be my recommendation, instructions should be on the bottle.

Correct, it's not pH neutral. Pretty sure it's on the alkaline end of the scale, but I'm confirming with our chemist. More to follow...

Confirmed, Strip Wash is slightly alkaline

Thanks for help!
I’m wondering what’d be the water:shampoo ratio if used with my foam lance.

I use CG’s Big Mouth to apply Labo’s Primus (alkaline pre-wash) in 1:6 ratio. The shampoo is usually sticky and thicker than pre-wash products, so do you have some tips on mixing thick shampoo with water in a foam bottle?
Or, can I just use it as it is by pouring shampoo in water?
