ozzy Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) Subject: BMW M5 – Dinan Series My neighbor brought over one of his fun cars; I wanted to see what a boatload of Adam’s products would do to it. First a walk around Wheels, meet Green Wheel Cleaner……Green Wheel Cleaner say hello to the wheels Bucket of suds plus the wheel well brush, I like using it on the tires, gets them real clean Getting the Green Powerstick ready to work its magic For them hard to reach areas New Adam’s Wheel Brush It may be small but it gets the job done They clean up real nice Used the Green Wheel Cleaner inside the wheel wells and scrubbed them before a wash All 4 wheels and wheel wells done Preping for the car shampoo First get it wet Now the shampoo A real hand wash with the Adam’s JUMBO Wash Pad Now the rinse off This is where I go a little different, I use the electric leaf blower to blow off the big stuff, then I go over it with the White Waffle Drying Towel Now it’s all washed and dried Then it got the clay bar and detail spray treatment, did all the glass and paint, no pictures, kinda forgot. Getting the buffer all ready to go…….saw another member try this, guess what it works better…lol My neighbor wanted to try his hand at the Porter Cable 7424 Then came out the Butter Wax, again I forgot to get pictures, was moving fast Ok now for an Adam’s product that I would buy in gallons……Brilliant Spray Glaze After 20 minutes Final Shots Now some “Adam’s Shots” Edited April 18, 2009 by ozzy
Bill-V8V Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Not as impressive as a helicopter but still nice
ozzy Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 Remember, there is always LIFE STAR 1, she's the white helicopter with the blue star......not as good looking IMHO, as LS2, but she would clean up real nice.
Bill-V8V Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 After detailing the LifeStar cars must seem like a small task :2thumbs::2thumbs:
6spdg37s Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 its a sin to keep a dinan M5 in that bad of condition...good job bringin it back to life...i just feel bad for your neighbor wen hes sent to hell for that:bow:
FASN8N Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Nice job on the detail, makes me miss my old Dinan S2 540/6 I don't miss the maintenance bills of owing a BMW though!
11chevz71 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Nice, always wanted that car. Saw a challenger like you have in Carlisle PA it was red and had a big black stripe going down the side. And i can say that i was very impressed. Do not ussally go for the muscle car look let alone a Chrsyler. so get choice in car.

Superdutytd Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I hope that M5 is a daily driver. We never used to let ours get more than dusty.
70'sChevyGirl Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Wow!! Thanks for posting all the pics!! How long did that take to detail??
ozzy Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 Wow!! Thanks for posting all the pics!! How long did that take to detail?? I took my time, the owner also wanted to try out all of the Adam's products (I talk about them all the time). With the owner helping out it took about 6 hours, he was happy with the way it came out, plus I think he will be making an order soon.
Chewy Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 (edited) Looks good! Brings back memories... Dad had one of those models minus the Dinan work. Thing ate clutches like MAD! 2 clutches in like 30,000 miles and he drove manuals his whole life. His new M5 hasn't had nary an issue since new in '06. I LOVE Bimmers...
