Buffing Question????

JIMMY

Question

I have recently fiberglassed and painted my dash. The other day I went over it with 1500 grit sandpaper to get all the dirt and imperfections out. In using the PC7424 can I get the shine back. I know most places use a high speed buffer with different compounds but all I have are the Adams products. If I can do this, what are the steps needed to make it shine like glass. Thanks for any help JIMMY

Junkman is the wet sanding expert here but why not try SHR on an orange pad and see where that gets you but you may need to step down to 2000 or 3000 first :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Not "may need to, will need to"!

You can't go at your finish with some 1500 grit sandpaper and then start compounding it. You need to follow that with 2000 grit, then 2500, and last of all 3000. At that point you can start using the orange pad with some SHR and work your way to polish.
