Well my day of detailing has ended. I spent about 2.5 hours yesterday and 6 hours today getting my truck cleaned up. I washed, dried, clayed and used Invisible Undercarriage Spray yesterday. Today I put VRT on the tires, used my new generation II pads with SHR, FMP and MSW, cleaned the inside with Interior Cleaner, Carpet Cleaner on the floor mats, Glass Cleaner and Metal Polish on the front and rear bumper.

I have to say that the last time I polished (over a year ago) my truck I used Poor Boys World and The Chemical Guys products. Hine sight is 20/20 because I should have bought Adam's products a long time ago. Adam's Polishes are soooooo much better and easier to use. It's like day and night! I had some pretty bad ghosting when I took the badges off my truck and the SHR with the orange pad took care of it without a problem. There were a few spots that I needed to switch my PC to 6 but 5 did the trick. The only problem that I had was that it was tough to use the tire sponge with VRT on my Mud Terrain tires. I had to spend a little more time getting into the grooves. If that is the only problem that I will encounter, I can live with that. The VRT worked great once I was done. As far as the microfiber towels go, OMG!!!! I need to buy more of those bad boys. I absolutely love them.

Tomorrow I will finish taking off the Machine Super Wax and I will follow that with my first coat of Americana paste wax. Once that is complete I'll do a good once over to check it out. Today was one of those days that I wish I had small compact car. Baically I'm pooped after cleaning a full size truck. I here a dodge Charger calling my name!!! Here are a few pictures of my truck with the badges on, off and all cleaned up. Once I can figure out a good creative photo for June's contest I will post that.

Here are the pictures.

Bill,

How many channels does he get with those ears?

The truck looks great without the badges. If your not planning on using them again you should sell them on Ebay. Badges sell.

I just came in from almost finishing up my truck. The first thing that I did was I put a coat of Americana on and that stuff rocks. I use to use Pete's 50 paste wax and thought to myself that this wax is great. Americana is so much better. It goes on and comes off a lot easier and leaves a deeper shine. Once that was done, I headed to the windows. I had some water spots that I couldn't get out with the clay bar. So I called my friendly tech support rep (Thanks Bill). After some good advice I used Swirl and Haze remover with the orange pad and WOW what a difference. The only bad thing is that I can see all the little pitts in my windshield (not to bad though). Tomorrow I just need to touch up a few spots with VRT and I am finally done. As far as a daily touch up goes, should I use Detail Spray or should I use Brillant Spray Glaze? Please let me know.

On a different note. I live in an apartment complex that has a lot of nice vehicles. It's pretty much a business community. As I was using my PC on the windows I had two ladies approach me asking if I have a business. I told them no, but it's a hobby that I enjoy. To make a long story short, they want me to clean there cars. One is a Mazda 3 and the other is a VW Bettle. The question that I have is, what would be a good price to charge them? Any input would be great.
