Looks like you got rid of that offending scratch. Good job! :thumbsup:

 

Now the Z5 and the Americana are two, totally different animals altogether. Z5 is a polish and Americana is a wax, just to clarify. I would not have used 2000 on a scratch that light, I would have started with 2500, and finished with 3000. One thing about 2000, you have got to really buff that stuff out or you'll still see it if you get down and look at the area at different angles. Those are some deep scuffs to get rid of using a PC and SHR.

 

Another thing that is dangerous about where that scratch is located was the edges beside it. Had you used a real abrasive polish, you would have gotten rid of the scratches sooner, but risked taking the paint off those edges (even with a PC). This is when more passes with SHR is a more sensible and safe solution.

 

I can't see anymore scratch and that's what you should shoot for as a novice. Nobody is going to notice that at the show. Good ending! :thumbsup:
