My pool guy only had to come out 3 times to clean the filters And we have one of those pool covers that lays on the water - so a LOT of the ash didnt even get in the pool.

 

There were about 9 neighbors of mine that had NO pool covers - they ended up having to have their pools drained and refilled. A few days after the refill, we had nasty winds - which kicked up the ash again - and 3 of the pools had to be re-drained and filled again.

 

yup my parents didn't have a cover.. they are afraid the dog might drown if they get one.. so they also had to drain it
