Nordgrey
Forecast this morning. Clear and sunny all day, into tommorow. Decide to do the full meal deal clean up of the Coupe. Wheels first, then rinse, foam, rinse, foam, rinse, hand wash, rinse, dry. Clay, wash, dry. SHR. FMP a couple annoying scratches. Quick coat of Buttery. VRT on the wheels and plastic. Glass cleaner and the Under Carraige Spray to finish it. Remember that forecast above? The clouds over head right now could pass for black board............ Doug123
At least you got it done before the rain! Rain won't give you swirls, or remove the clay efforts, or that shine!
Nordgrey
True enough. And I am officially a member of the focus pads fan club now. Had a 14 or 15 inch long scratch on the shoulder of the driver's side quarter panel. No idea where it came from, but two passes with SHR and one FMP with the focus pads on the PC and it was history. Great for awkward areas like that.
Doug123
Good to know, thanks for the update. Had a nasty buffer swirl on the shoulder of the hood on my HHR (must have been from the detailing shop - got it used) which I have gotten 95% out with the full sized pads. Might get impatient and move to my 4" pads for the coup de grace.
Nordgrey
One thing I found with the focus pads is that I had to take the PC down to about 4500 OPM to get it under control. 5000 was a bit too much.
