Good News Bad News

Ok the good news is that Adam's products gave me the edge to win first place at Beach Bum's in Beach Haven, NJ. Now for the bad news - Beach Haven - sand, salt, yes SCRATCHES! They are very fine but my paint was nearly flawless. What should the procedure be to correct? I have two fresh coats of Americana on top of MSW. Do I need to strip and start with FMP?

Congrats! Are the scratches all over? How bad are they? Any pics? Sorry for all of the questions.

If they aren't terribly bad, I definitely wouldn't strip it. I'd get it really clean and go at it with the FMP. It will clean and enhance the shine and reduce the scratches all at the same time. Then once you get enough passes with the fmp to get it back to where you are happy, then throw another coat of MSW on it. Should be back to blingin in no time.

I knew they were going to be asked. I cannot download any pics at this time. Compared to most they are very hard to detect, but I see them and they were not there when I arrived. I am posting a picture from a few weeks back, this is how it looked.

I would try FMP and White pad first,(before stripping) if that takes care of the scratches follow up with Americana. Keep us updated!

Alrighty then, FMP, MSW, Americana, and BSG. I will test an area to determine if I need to go more aggressive. It is just about a complete do-over. I LOVE THE BEACH!

If it's in that great of condition like that pic with just some minor swirls or micro scratches, then I bet the FMP and some MSW or Americana is gonna fix you right up. Nice looking vette.

Thanks! Adam's was the difference. I could not believe all the spiderwebs on nearly all the cars.
