New foam and seal
sixsix replied to buffalobob920's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
It looks just like the one in the video, with the wider canister. I'll have to look at it again when I get home. Edit: I just looked it up and this is the one that I have https://adamspolishes.com/products/adams-foam-cannon-2-1 -
New foam and seal
sixsix replied to buffalobob920's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I have the same foam cannon as the one used in the video and mine doesn't have the provision for screwing the 16oz bottle directly to the lid like it shows in the video...is that a recent addition to the foam cannon? -
Adam's Ceramic Spray Coating
sixsix replied to falcaineer's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I'm not skeptical, but the whole "not like anything on the market" statement is what gets me, cause their are products on the market already that read just like this one. Hopefully it'll be cheaper than something like IGL Premier or Can Coat. Looking forward to some unbiased reviews once it comes out. -

So you believe the addition of SiO2 automatically classifies it as a coating? -
Adam's Ceramic Spray Coating

Never said they were the same product, just similar. SiO2 seems to be the newest fad as of late, I just wonder what type of protection you can expect from these types of sealants other than water beading. -

I can think of a few off the top of my head. Even Mother's is getting into the spray coating game with CMX Ceramic Spray Coating, which is fixing to hit the shelves. -
Is the Foam Gun Worth It?
sixsix replied to pizano_luis's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
To me, it's a waste of time and product. Doesn't speed up the process either, if anything it takes longer. I see no benefit in using it. -
A guy I work with is getting a in-ground pool dug and they got to the point of spraying the gunite, and while they did a pretty good job at masking off the area, some of it still got away and covered his truck. It's pretty thick in some spots and the whole truck feels like 120grit sand paper. What would be the best route to go to get it off? I'm gonna try clay on the windows and maybe a small section of paint to see if that'll work. I also have a polymer rubber clay pad that I'm gonna try too. I know I'm gonna have to polish it afterwards, but I would like to inflict as little damage as possible. Any thoughts?

Terry Weave Drying towels

Looks like it's only thick on one side? If so that may make it easier to wring out....that's the only thing I don't like about the PFM towel. It gets so heavy but it's nearly impossible to wring out. And if you hang it up to air dry it takes about a week before it's dry. -
Adam's newest finishing polish...quick thoughts...
sixsix replied to EB C5 Z06's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
With essence you don't have to do an eraser wipe down prior to coating...so you can just wipe off the polish and go straight to the coating. That's all I was wondering about. -

Can you go straight to a coating after finishing polish like you can with essence? I have an off brand ceramic coating on my black expedition that's been on there for almost a year and half. It's holding up great, but the hood has a couple of high spots and streaks as that's where I started and it took a couple of tries before I got the process down...the rest of the car looks fine. I was wondering if the finishing polish would get these high spots out, and then after just be able to go back with another coat of the coating. -
New microfiber wash mitt
sixsix replied to Ls1transam's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I used mine for the first time yesterday on 2 different vehicles back to back and didn't really care for it too much. I felt it was kinda stiff and didn't hold as much suds as the pads. I'll give it one more shot and if I still don't like it then it's getting demoted to wheel duty. -
In & Out Overspray
sixsix replied to Devil 'n the Detail's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
You can also try spraying just the applicator...I've used it like that before when doing the window cowl, prob not ideal but it seemed to work. It does wipe off the glass easily tho so no worries there. -
Rinseless in foam gun?

If it's anything like ONR, it'll just be like shooting out water. -

I'm with you on this. I use another company's "pfm" drying towel and it's seriously the best drying towel that I've ever used. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's pretty large and nearly impossible to wring out...you don't ever have to wring it out when drying, but I hand wash the towel after and that's when it's a pain.
