What do I need?

mosley9423

Question

Alright guys I'm new to the forum and new to Adams polishes as well. Long story short I have a 2013 buick regal gs. It has some swirl marks in the paint from the owner before me. I need everything from buckets to polishers. The only down side is I live in a townhouse and don't have access to a water hose where I live so what would you recommend. Let me know what I should buy. Sorry first time detailer

Adams has a bunch of kits that might fit the bill. I’d have to look at the current offerings.

You can use Rinseless Wash for the wash which negates the need for a hose.

You’ll want a clay bar and detail spray to decontaminate the paint.

Wheel cleaner for the wheels with a boars hair brush.

Tire & Rubber Cleaner with a tire brush if you want to get to that level.

I’d pick up a polisher kit personally. The Adams SK15 and mini will fit the bill. I know there’s kits with pads and polishes. I like the kit that has all three steps since you never know if you’ll need that extra work of a compound.

Paint sealant to seal it up.

Glaze if you want to make it really pop.

And some wax of your choice (buttery, Americana or patriot). Americana is a great “go to” wax.

That should get you started. As for processes, feel free to ask questions you may have. A book could be written on the subject.

I would start with some Kits for sure, best bang for your buck.

Without knowing exactly what you want to accomplish its hard to say what you really need.

There is the essentials kit, which is a great starter kit esspecially if you want to try out hand polishing and not put the money into a polisher right away

This Winter washing kit is also a great little starter kit that can get you going.

If you want to keep up on your washing without the hose, look no further than Rinseless wash. It is a very versatile product, from clay lube, to waterless wash, to a rinseless solution it can really handle more than you think. If you want to get a good deal and bet easily set up there is a nice rinseless kit for $80 that includes the bucket, 5 double softs and the rinseless solution with a large top quality spray bottle to make it down into waterless for your later use.

I also think that the 8 bottle bag kit is another good option if you want a way to cary everything around even in the car easily.

You can always just go whole hog on it and get the ultimate kit and not have to wonder what you need.
