My guess would be because the woolies are very versatile and durable yet very soft. You can hit the wheels, the barrels, the fender wells, the exhaust tips, the engine, the door jambs and trunk, and I am sure there are more uses. Probably the wiper cowel in some spots as well. And the Adams woolie is 25. I find myself using it pretty much every wash.

I would agree with the rest. Paint correction has come so far in the past couple of years. Once you see what you can do, you will be amazed!

A bucket of warm soapy water with some APC and a wheel woolie is my preferred method. That is after loose dirt and debris has been removed and the areas were presoaked with WW or diluted RW.

By MFR I meant Microfiber Revitalizer.
-
Try soaking the towel in warm water and APC or MFR if you can. That typically loosens up dirt and debris prior to washing.

Thanks Mr Bobby. That's a good idea! I don't have a sidekick. But one day hoping to pick up a MB.

Thanks Justin that's a good idea about a brush. I am going to try that.

I had my claying tool hit the driveway today. YIKES! I rinsed it off pretty thoroughly. Thought I would post about it to make sure I am okay to do that and keep using it. Anyone else had this happen?
Just to be clear, the clay was not on the tool at the time.

Chris there's no real wait time. This product doesn't need to cure. You should be good to move at whatever pace you decide on. Just out of curiosity, what type of applicator are you using? I find the foam "ufo" style applicators work best.

Awesome
Like you said, the GC and Adams glass towels make perfect glass attainable

Get the sealant too it is awesome!

For most correction power, I would narrow that list down to either the flex or the Rupes MarkII machines. Also think about what pad size you want to use. If you're going to only have 1 machine, the Rupes 15 is nice because it uses 6" pads so it's better to get into tighter areas than the 7" pads on the other 2 machines.
Now both machines (Rupes 15 and Flex 3401) are set up to run the same pad with 6 gen

Makes sense thanks big guy

Dylan,
I think I saw this discussed in a previous thread, but is the nano only offered as a kit?

Oh yeah and congrats on the new ride! Do you also have a C7 Z06?

I would say try slowing down your arm movement some with the orange foam and see if that makes a difference. I think it might surprise you. If you are already moving slow and steady then maybe you will have to bump it up to the mf pads. Either way just start with the section/panel that represents the overall condition of the paint best and do a 2x2 section. Then you will know.

What type of machine are you using Emir? I usually two step my black cars. Black is just really difficult to get perfect. But it really depends on what you are happy with. I typically use the orange foam pad with the Flex and finish with white foam and PFP. The point being start with the least aggressive method. I have one stepped it on my black car as well, but the paint had previously been corrected and that was a one step with the white foam and PFP and a dab or two of Revive.

The H2O GG works pretty well in place of QS. If you absolutely had to have an aerosol sealant, I am sure there are some brands out there with that offering. I know we are not supposed to add links or really talk about competing products so I will leave it at that.

Yes I agree fellas if you use too much you could see streaking. I have rarely seen that happen, but I got to the point I was using it every wash. I think I got a little too happy with it too!

Mini is a very powerful little machine. It will definitely work better for the tight areas than anything else Adams offers. i love mine. It's great to use on headlights, bumpers, side mirrors, bird bomb etching, pillars, wheels etc. You can definitely make a case for it if you detail enough or have a vehicle with a lot of tight spaces.

I have a couple. Great for brushes and I like the way it works on wash pads as well.
Why Adam's Paint Correction Videos Are Misleading
in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
Posted
I think if time is something you are concerned about you should stay out of paint correction because it takes time. A TON OF IT to get it right. There are no short cuts. I am unclear about how the videos are misleading and I disagree 1000 percent with your stance. Several others will stand on the same side of that argument as well. If these videos and products and techniques don't work then why do you see so many saying they have gotten excellent results. I have gotten great results with every vehicle I have detailed including my own. Probably detailed near 100 vehicles in the past 5 years. Not all of them got paint correction but any that did were miles beyond where they started.
