  1. Also could use a smaller block applicator on a stick similar to a foam paint brush. These would be perfect for applying SVRT to hard to reach areas esp. the engine compartment and you wouldn't need to use IOS quite as much. I've tried using the cheap foam paint brushes sold in hardware stores (see above) but they are too flimsy and the sponge always separates from the handle.
  2. Really nice ride. A high school friend of mine bought a brand new '71 Nova 350cid in the same color with 3 speed on the floor, and just a 2 bbl carb. I remember the MSRP was just over $2700 when he bought it. No carpets, just vinyl floors and bench seat but had the factory rally wheel option. Question: Is your dad's still factory paint or a respray? I assume it's original since it's single stage. This is before manufacturers went to water based paint. And do you have a photo of the interior? Thanks
  3. Tried to do a search but was unsuccessful. What is the best way to clean dirty, greasy door jambs that have been neglected for several years. Obviously, these areas are painted, so I don't want to etch the paint. I am thinking All Purpose Cleaner would be a good start. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks for the welcome. Ordered Boulder Blonde Wheel brush, wheel woolies, tire and trim combo and some interior detailer. Will be placing much larger order soon.
  5. How about a smaller version of your lug nut brush for detailing areas of the engine compartment (and other areas) that are too tight for the lug brush. Some detailers use hobby paint brushes but the bristles are usually way too limp. I think a boars hair brush with shorter fibers and a narrower handle that is still fairly long would be ideal. Something like the blue stencil brush in the attached pic but more similar in appearance to your red lug nut brush.
  6. Just joined the forum from northeast Florida---product on order.
