  1. Just saying thanks again to Adams and GPC too. I learned a lot from the show. I came back home and actually did my first detail using the products I bought back from March. My car turned out great and it was definitely a learning experience again on my own. Used the two bucket wash, detail spray and clay (I used to much detail spray!), rewashed again because I couldn't believe how much the clay bar pulled up. Then I finished with hand polish, glaze, and wax. The car was stunning in the sun! So again, thanks! I now have been bitten by the detailing bug!
  2. Just wanted to say I had a nice time tonight! Was nice meeting some people. Sorry didn't get a chance to talk to everyone! Had to bolt as my wife was starting to get a migraine which she randomly gets. I will however see those at the clinic tomorrow! Also, special thanks to Adam for the meals and drink.
  3. Looking forward to meeting everyone! See you all tomorrow!
  4. I'm looking forward to sunshine and consistent warmer weather. Last week was 70 degrees one day and the next it was snowing and 10 degrees. The weather has been weird around here! I think we will be good come time for the clinic!
  5. Thanks guys. The all purpose cleaner to the wash sounds like a great idea along with the VRT before polishing.
  6. Hey all! I finally got the Adam's Essential Detailing Kit in its entirety and am looking forward to using it once the weather breaks. Just wanted to verify the process of detailing my car with you guys. From what I understand it goes like this: - Clean wheels - Two bucket wash the car - Clay bar car if needed - Polish it - Glaze - Wax - Then shine up the plastic and what not with the VRT I think thats the summary of it pretty much. Any suggestions and tips before I do my first detail will be welcomed! Thanks!
  7. Way this weather is going, it will probably snow in late April. lol
  8. Patrick and Rachel. See you all there! Rich, you bringing the Corvette?!
  9. Thanks all for the welcomes. Haven't been on in a couple days. I'm still awaiting the shipment of the essentials kit. Its on backorder here. Was hoping to have it while the weather was nice here in PA. Its supposed to be cold and snowing here by tonight and it was oddly 70 degrees yesterday! Weather is so strange! I also will be attending Carbones with my wife and the clinic myself the next day. Looking forward to it.
  10. Look up the art of shaving. I like their products. They are expensive however and you can probably find cheaper alternatives. I have always used a razor. I usually just used gillette pro fusion glide with shaving gel in the shower but it does cause me minor irritation. I bought a sample kit from art of shaving and had no irritation at all which is nice considering I have to shave for work everyday.
  11. Well, my wife and I will be at the dinner and I'll be at the clinic!
  12. This is what I hear. I'm sure I'll be cleaning my wife's car too.
  13. Just wanted to say, instead of starting a new thread, that I finally bought the essentials kit with the 36oz of VRT included. Looking forward to getting it and looking forward to better weather so I can use it!
  14. I should know some time in the next couple weeks if I'll be able to attend this weekend event.
  15. Thanks all for the welcomes and the information. Seems like a good group of people on this forums. Look forward to chatting with all and maybe meeting some in person!
  16. Adam, I just realized from lurking the forums that your son is two days apart from mine. My son was born June 26, 2013! I also just looked and I work the weekend of this event. I might run it by the wife though and might take off for it. Be a good first clinic and sounds like a fun time.
  17. Didn't realize that both in the area of SR119. Thats not to far for me! Will have to check the work schedule!
  18. Thanks for the great info Rich! I use to to travel Rte. 22 through Johnstown when I worked in Huntingdon County, or as most people know, where Raystown Lake is! We are definitely close. I live in Belle Vernon.
  19. Thanks all! I'm about 16 miles south of Pittsburgh, or 45 minutes south of Pittsburgh! I'll have to look into a trip to Carlisle. Would be fun!
  20. Hey all! Name is Patrick. I recently bought a 2013 Ford Focus ST and was looking into learning how to detail. I came to this site after reading a detailed thread on a Ford Focus ST forum site where one of the memebers used all Adam's products and his car looked phenomenal. I was hoping to learn to do the same and have actually emailed customer service in an attempt to get started. They recommended Adam's Essential Detailing Kit. Once I get it, I'm sure I'll be with you guys hooked on detailing! Here is the ride:
