  1. Actually got out bid on another router yesterday....
  2. I think that it just begins to look worse every time you look at it. Just knowing it's there bugs me.
  3. I just can't get into those huge wheels. These are the ones I'd like to have (if I could afford them) for my 01 Vette, in stock sizes.
  4. I don't know if you call it a collection, but I have a ton of tools...new, old, mechanics, woodworking, hand, power and stationary. I have 41 old woodworking planes, 11 routers, 9 drills, 7 sanders....and all of them I use. Lots of antique woodworking tools Stanley levels, squares, and rules. Can a guy ever have enough tools?
  5. I have a few are you interested? Yashica Mat and Yashica A (120 film) Kodak (I can't remember the model but from 1908)
  6. Well, I guess, Bill, you are right. They aren't too thrilled....this was all for naught. Thanks anyway, and I tried.
  7. Yes I knew that and I specifically asked about it. So, I have presented that to the Admin on CAC, they in turn have mentioned it to MAM, which they gave no direct response. Maybe they just haven't had time to mull it over or they just aren't concerned. This event is a CAC event held at MAM...it's a new twist for us as well. I'll keep you posted.
  8. OK the dates and location are set. The CorvetteActionCenter.com CruiseFest will be held June 11-13 (Friday-Sunday) at the Mid-America Motorworks campus in Effingham Ill. Mike Yager and his stafff are making many of the plans. I have already PM'd AJ. The staff at CAC is excited at the possibility of having Adams presenting at our CruiseFest.
  9. How do we go about requesting a clinic? I am a Moderator at CorvetteActionCenter and we are in the planning stages of our annual "CAC CruiseFest". I would like to try and get a detailing seminar (clinic) set up as one of our activities. The Date is not set in stone, nor is the location set yet. Right now we are looking at the second weekend of June (like June 10-12), at Effingham Ill (the Mid America Motorworks campus). What do I need to do? Who do I need to contact? thanks for your help or steering me in the right direction.
  10. I've got the Truxedo on my 99 Silverado (bought it 2 days after buying the truck , back in 02). I use VRT on it and it makes it look like new!
  11. I kind of looked on ebay...haven't tried the recyclers yet (I'm trying to be politically correct )
  12. I was actually thinking I could use a hair dryer and "warm up" the vinyl a bit and form it back some and then the vinyl repair kit. What does anyone think about that?
  13. Dylan, it is a vinyl covered panel with some padding behind it. I'll try to get a picture and get it posted when I get home from school. Thanks!!!!
  14. My wife went to a meeting and she had to haul some stuff home. One of the items was a metal sign. When she put it in the car it fell against the door panel, without her knowing it and sat there and rubbed all the way home. when she got home she saw what it had done. Now, I have just not done anything with it, because I had no idea what to do. Yesterday while cleaning the car I saw it and realized someone here might have an idea. I'll try get a picture taken and posted. Pic posted below.... The longest one is about 1" long the others are just where the corner poked them. Any ideas on how to repair this...short of buying a new door panel?
  15. Not many as I tore it up the first time I used it on my daughters van, the lenses had little nubs sticking out and I didn't realize they were tearing it up. It doesn't look any worse since that first time using it.
  16. Well, I've had issues for some time with the tail lights on my 99 Silverado. After reading here about many cleaning up their headlights I thought I'd give it a try on the tail lights. I thought, initially that using the 4" pads on the PC was the smart thing, but after reading many posts, I decided to go the portable drill route. Well, I'm here to say that, the drill is way more effective. I had tried the PC and 4" pads on my daughters van headlights to no avail. All I seemed to do was tear up the pad a bit (little pokey things on the lens, see picture). Anyway here are the before and after pictures. The dullness around the edges of the lens is now gone. It is still somewhat textured, but at least it is now back to a more red color.
  17. Yea, I bet that does put a damper on things.
  18. Where's Billy Mays when you need him? I'm sure he could have come up with a better commercial than that,
  19. Thanks, those pictures aren't very good...the shop was a mess. But I guess it shows that I actually use it. Yes, I'm more into cabinets and furniture. I am actually a high school woodworking and drafting instructor, getting ready to retire (from teaching) and I plan to do cabinets and custom furniture to supplement the retirement pension.
  20. That's simply insane. Basically a controlled fall.
  21. Congrats, she looks really good....for a Pancho!
