  1. LOL, thanks Ralph! "crazy dude, in a good way" I think that's a huge compliment!
  2. Enjoyed a sunny 45 degree day to try out the new blue shampoo. BLUE vs. Red
  3. BLUE vs. RED A Head-to-Head Foam-off Three ounces in each foam cannon bottle. Shaken, not stirred. BLUE on the left, RED on the right. After one minute. After two minutes. After three minutes. After four minutes. In both trials, the truck had just been washed and rinsed, so that the first shampoo did not have more dirt to cling to in the first trial. After the first trial, the truck was rinsed and then the red shampoo was used. The photos were taken with a timer remote at one minute intervals. During the second trial, there was a little more sun so the foam looks whiter, but there was no real difference in appearance. In both trials, the passenger side was foamed using cold DI water on a 45 degree day. The photos of the second trial were then flipped and added to the photos for the first trial. As shown, the new blue shampoo does not seem to foam or cling any better than the original red shampoo. BUT HERE'S THE DIFFERENCE, the new blue shampoo is more slippery, it feels like the old red shampoo with Rinseless mixed in. I have been foaming with a mix of 3oz of shampoo and 1oz of Rinseless for the last year, but the rinseless would decrease the overall foam and hang-time. With the new blue shampoo, there is still good foam with the added benefit of more lubrication. As for performance in the bucket, I did not see much of a difference in original foaminess, but the new blue did last a little longer and it was easier to build more foam by stirring the brushes or pad. I actually ended up with more foam in the wash pad bucket after really working the pad on the grit guard then when it was first filled. In these wheel cleaning buckets, the blue is on the right and the red on the left. First filled with hot water from the sink faucet. Twelve minutes later I start on the wheels. Fifteen minutes of washing wheels, tires and wells. The new blue wildberry scent is nice, and it is definitely stronger than the original red cherry. In summary, the new blue has more lubricity but the foam cannon results are the same. In the bucket, the foaminess is improved. Overall a nice improvement, but not a huge difference. But that's what happens when you improve on a product that is already a good performer.
  4. Aaaaaaahhhh, soooooooo much salt!!! That's bad, that's very, very bad!
  5. I think it is already on their list, as I posted on this issue end of Dec (last two posts in this thread). http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27621-did-some-forum-housekeeping-all-members-please-read/page-1?do=findComment&comment=434096 Just make sure their solution is not to just eliminate the dark theme, as I find it much preferable than having to stare at a white screen late at night (when I should be sleeping).
  6. Bristles on the old brush are 2 inches long, on the new brush they are 2.5 inches.
  7. I picked up the Wheel Brush Kit on my last order, as I wanted to try the new Short Wheel Brush and the Wheel Woolie. I have the long Wheel Brush, but found that I preferred the short handle of the boar's hair brush that I have been using for the last year. In comparing the new Short Wheel Brush to the BH brush, the head is bigger and there are more bristles, which makes it work better on the wheels. I also noticed that the current version of the Fender Brush has a bigger, fuller head than the one I got last year. I have been using my original Fender Brush for tires and it ends up pretty dirty, so I don't use it on anything else. I plan to use the new brush on the wheel wells, as the other-brand brush I had been using is a little too soft and has not kept up with the winter grime. .
  8. Get a label maker like a Brother P-Touch that uses the TZ tapes, which are laminated and hold up well. I used 18mm Black-on-Clear tape to label my Kwazars.
  9. Their website has some products that you don't see the US retailers selling. With the exchange rate, their cost on the sprayer was good but the shipping was as much as the sprayer, but I needed to get the trigger heads anyway. I ended up having to place the order by phone as their online cart, or "Trolley", would not give me any shipping options. Transit time was about 1.5 weeks, not too bad.
  10. I have found that LC is less slick than TID, and that SVRT and In&Out are very slick.
  11. Yep, update your address in your profile. Enter all the address info again and save it. Also make sure you fill in the "Country" field. When they switched websites, some of the address info did not transfer right.
  12. I ordered some replacement trigger heads from Kwazar in the UK and saw that they had a "Harsh Chemical" version of the Venus Pro, so I got one of them to try with the MFR&B. I removed the bottle printing to make some room for the labels. I mixed up a 50% dilution with DI water since these compression sprayers move a lot of product. After a wash or detail, I hand wash the towels to get most of the soiling off, rinse good, then hang to dry. Once dry, I store them in small trash cans (with lids), until I run out of any of the different towels. Then, I clean the washer by running a cleaning cycle with vinegar. I also have to vacuum all the glitter out of the dryer and wipe it down so there is no cross contamination (glitter is from the kids, not strippers). I run a load of the waffle weave drying towels, then a second load with the dirtier wheel and utility towels.
  13. I have the Vac N Blo Compact Wall Mount VNB4AFBR. It is 4hp. I had to use an adapter for the diffuser to get from 2 inch down to 1-1/4 inch. I will post a pic when I get a chance.
  14. Very nice job! Huge improvement on the interior.
  15. YOU LUCKY DOG! (If you are planning on selling the remainder on the black market, let me know, I have cash...and a spare kidney)
  16. Please, for the love of everything clean and shiny, DO NOT use a vacuum for drying your car, even with a clean hose. The filter bags on these MetroVacs, and the cartridges on shop vacs, still let dust through, unless they are HEPA rated and have appropriate seals to prevent bypass, which the vast majority of vacs do not. Extreme? Maybe, but consider this hard-working MetroVac. I mounted it on some ductwork directly over a belt sander, so I did not want the air blowing out of the vacuum stirring up too much dust. I put a new Ridgid Vac outlet diffuser on it, which has a foam sleeve. The vac has been used weekly for the past year, but the bag is not even close to full. I took the foam sleeve off and gave it a rinse, then put the dirty water in this jar. And this is just what this coarse foam sleeve picked up, I would guess 95% of the exhaust dust went right through. So, if you just spent all that time washing, I don't think you want to blow it off with air that has just been sucked through a bag full of all the crud that's been vacuumed off the floor of the vehicle. But maybe that's just me.
  17. Thanks! The reels I got from Amazon and Pressure Washers Direct. The 50' reel on the bottom for the pressure washer hose is a General Pump model D30001 and the 100' reel on the top is model D30002. Why two? The reel on top I had set up with a garden hose for doing flood-rinses, like you see in some of the videos. After using it a few times, I found the extra effort to do so was not worth the time or wasting the extra DI water that ends up left in the hose and then drains out. Even with a flood-rinse, I would still go back with the Sidekick blaster to get the remaining water, so it was an unnecessary step. I actually just took that hose reel off the cart a few weeks ago so that I have more room on top for buckets, pads and brushes. I did on one, to match the other. The first caddy I got from Adam's and it had the casters you see in the pic. They did not stock the caddy when I bought the second one so I ordered it from one of their dealers, and it had the red casters that you see on the website now. I had to have them match so I ordered new ones with the clear wheels from Amazon.
  18. Thanks guys! So far we have one Yay for the longer hose and one Nay. I can see in Chris' Garage-of-Glory that the longer hose is a plus as it makes it possible to leave the blaster hanging on the wall. Unfortunately, my garage has tools in it that can't get wet so blowing off the truck inside the garage is not an option. For use on the driveway, it seems like it could go either way: pulling the MB around with a shorter hose or going with the longer hose and leaving it stationary, but then having to coil and store the longer hose. More input is appreciated.
  19. Has anyone tried the new Master Blaster Revolution? Those of you who have the original Master Blaster, what are your thoughts on the 30 foot long hose? Do you think it would be a big improvement over the 10 foot hose? The front swivel wheels on the Revolution seem like it would make it easier to pull around the vehicle, but does this really matter if the hose is 30 feet long? Seems like you could just put it in front of the vehicle and then use the long hose without having to move it around. Thanks for any input!
  20. Looks really good! Did you use your well water for the RW mix?
