  1. Glad to see this. Currently use a cheap one and every time I use it, it leave white bristles everywhere. Looking forward in using a quality brush.
  2. Thanks, as do I! I'm painting both my project trucks that color! Side note.. The weather was horrible while I was home. Cold, wet and overcast for like 8 days straight. I got called back to work unexpected, so the detail will have to wait for a little bit longer. But that's okay, gives me time to order a machine polishing kit(I know my truck needs it)! Forgot I took these pictures. Was at a gas station filling up they had great lighting, which made me face palm myself at how trashed it is! And……..Welcome to my other nightmare(Besides the concrete on the rockers), stray cats! Really need to get my enclosed shop built soon.
  3. Can't stop looking at how shiny that grille is.. Great job!
  4. Nice truck! Didn't know the the Denali's had different gauge cluster.. Makes me want it now! haha
  5. Thanks Dylan! Hope to have it better looking Monday!
  6. It's going to be nasty weather this weekend, going to start on it Monday.
  7. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing it that way!
  8. Bought my truck almost a year ago. It has been mistreated for its washings.. Brushes, coil ops & drive throughs. After a quick wash one day I noticed all the swirls marks in the paint & was disgusted. Decided I needed to correct it and take better care of it. So my first big order was the Essentials Detail & Tough to Reach Wheel kits. I'm still missing some key components, but figured that is a good starting point to build on. Doing truck things... Here is some pictures of the damage I have caused and there is some heavier ones on the door.. And here is me doing to "baggie" test.. I was shocked! For a paint to "look" clean and for it to feel like sandpaper is crazy. Also my first of many Adam's order came in. Plan to wash it, clay it, revive it and put a layer of buttery wax on it for now till I can order the Machine Polishing kit!
  9. Awesome, thanks for the links.
  10. Glad I found this.. So much awesomeness in one thread! Stealing your undercarriage pressure washer setup along with some tips you shared.
  11. Thanks Adam! Ready to get some Liquid Paint Sealant on it! It already has a pretty nasty layer of dust on it...
  12. Thanks, didn't even now they made such a thing! They have a concrete plant not far from me, I'll see if they have some on hand.
  13. I've been thinking of ways to soften it up, don't mind trying that either.
  14. I'll give it a try. If it works, I'd rather just correct the scratches & seal it. It's not an off road vehicle so not really a fan of bed lined rockers. It's hard to describe the texture of it. I think it being so thin I won't be able to pick it off. It's like someone took some concrete on a trowel and skimmed coated it. I already caused major damage with that brush, so I don't mind trying a plastic scrapper.
  15. Welcome to the under side of my 2014 GMC Sierra… It is a very thin layer of mud/concrete. I got it on my truck driving through a wet sections where they was re-paving. I got it off my wheels as it was only little specs(Still took elbow grease). But this I've tried direct pressure washer, the hardest brush I have and loads of detail spray with a microfiber and is not budging. I'm out of ideas...
  16. Thanks guys! Trust me, I'm ready to see it get to the next step also. Actually had 2 more frames at the show. The black from is a 73-87 Chevy C10. It is running a Porterbuilt drop member up front and custom link in the rear. The green frame is 1994 Ford Lightning. It is a full custom frame built by Chaotic Customs.
  17. Well here is some progress pictures of my frame, it is now a rolling chassis! Took it to Last Resort car show in Jennings, LA. Awesome show as always, but it got a lot of positive attention. Taking it to a local drive-in/show this weekend. Hopefully it will get the full Adam's treatment soon! It has some dry spray in some areas. But I can live with it, might get the control arms re-sprayed.
  18. Thanks! I'll start a thread on the truck side for it. Picking up the frame next week for it's first car show!
  19. Wagon is sick! Friend of mine has a sedan V and there is no way a 4-door should that quick.
  20. Awesome. Wish I was going to be home, offshore rotation messed with it this year. Saw they have over 7K registered already.
  21. Thanks! I am from Covington, about an hour due North of New Orleans.
  22. All I've used is the car wash shampoo and the 2 step metal polish and love them both. I've seen enough pictures and read enough reviews where I'm diving in head first. Starting with the complete 2 bucket wash kit, the ultimate wheel/tire kit and add from there. I currently have a 2014 GMC Sierra that is already showing swirl marks from using a brush(I know)… But I plan on taking care of that with 2 bucket wash system. I am also currently building a 1972 Chevy C10 from the frame up, laying frame with all Porterbuilt etc, etc. The frame is getting base coat clear coat so I plan on doing some liquid paint sealant on as it is going to stay a rolling chassis for a little while. It is staying a rolling chassis for a while because I had the opportunity to buy back my 1998 Chevy 1500 and I'm going to finish it first. Here are some pictures of them all. By the way the 72 and the 98 are getting painted the same color as my new truck. Think it will be cool to have 3 generations of GM trucks all the same color, plus I absolutely love this blue! The 72 frame getting shorten and the 98 in the background.. The wheels for the 72(They need a lot of attention)
  23. Nice truck, love this body style.
