We ceramic coat over almost every PPF install we do.  Adds another level of glosiness and makes the film release road debris/bugs/crud much easier than bare PPF, which is inherently a little "sticky."

What did you find out Saturday?  I'm curious now.

At a quick glance, that looks like air trapped under your PPF to me.

If that's the case, it's an easy fix for any competent installer.

Undercarriage Spray isn't the answer, it will just soak it up and cause dirt to cling to the material even worse.

The only effective way we've found to make them black is to spray them with upholstery dye.  Doesn't offer forever-longevity, but it's a more effective solution that will last longer than any dressing you can apply to them.

Stay away from the 3M stuff.  They were the industry leaders for a long time, but have been bypassed in terms of quality by a handful of other manufacturers.

If you found the pre-cut XPEL kits, that would be a solid choice for your application.

We use Suntek PPF-C in our shop, and it kicks ***.  Clarity is amazing, and it's very user friendly.  Self-healing top coat on the PPF-C is a nice bonus as well.

I still poke in here once in a while.  We are continually slamming busy at the sop, so not much time to scour the Interwebz during the day. 

I'm going to conduct a little tint-polishing experiment on our tint table.  Will report back.

I would recommend against polishing window film.  Do you happen to know what brand of film it is?
