  1. I love my 15! Ordering them from Adams may be the tipping point to pick up the Mini.
  2. On the best days it is a morning wash around 7am before the sun gets on the driveway. If I miss that window then I wait until after 4pm when I pick up some shade again. I have a similar order of operation but I don't have the pressure washer and do use a Master Blaster. As of today I have added a foam gun!
  3. Thanks everyone for the ideas. Chris, I agree that there will be little to no dust overnight, but I swear when it is windy that there is noticeable dust on the "good" cars in the morning. That said, I might be obsessing too much.
  4. Thanks. That was my first thought as I love Rinseless, but then I saw a note from Dylan in this thread that said it contains wax. I would end up having to remove the wax during the polishing pad. Glad to hear it hasn't been an issue.
  5. I am getting ready to work on a neglected Explorer and I expect it will take several days to complete the paint correction and polishing process. There are scratches everywhere and I am fairly new to paint correction and polishing. I intend to work slowly, panel by panel until done. When I come back in the morning to continue work, do I need to do anything to the next panel before beginning? While it is in the garage I am concerned about dust or pollen settling on the surface overnight.
  6. Great looking car! Welcome to the forums!
  7. Thanks Justin. Road trip with the kids are much nicer than they were in the minivan days.
  8. Welcome Craig! I am also new here and have found everyone very friendly and helpful. Great looking car! It looks 6 months old, not 15 years!! Are those aftermarket wheels?
  9. Thanks to all for the welcome!
  10. Thanks for the tip. It is on the drivers side, so it will be easy to keep an eye on.
  11. Hello from Wisconsin. I started posting in other forums and and realized I never did an intro post, so here it is. I detailed cars in my parents garage as a summer job when I was young. It was a great summer job and I got to briefly drive some really nice cars - Corvette’s, Camaro’s, Porsche, Mercedes, etc. More recently I used Zaino products and then stopped detailing completely about 6 years ago. I recently picked up a car that I wanted to take extra special care of so I started looking around at my product options. I discovered Adam’s via a post on the BenzWorld forums and started watching videos and reading the forums. The products looked great and the community in these forums was amazing. I felt comfortable with the products as well as the ability to get help with any issues as I worked my way back into detailing. I placed my first order with Adam's in early May. My second order a week later, and another order over the weekend during the Memorial Day sale. I love the way the car looks now and I haven’t had time yet to get the swirls out of the clear coat.
  12. Fixed! I got a chance to work on it today and was able to clean it up. The rust inhibitor concept appears correct, but I am far from an expert. I will keep an eye on it going forward and see if it starts to reappear.
  13. Thanks to all for the suggestions, I had to google cosmoline. I may have a chance to take a run at it today.
  14. Thanks! Long time lurker, first time posting. Interesting idea. I haven't tried anything yet, seeking opinions before I do anything.
  15. I have a flaw that I am not sure how to approach. There is a discoloration at the bottom of the car near the gap between the two doors. I think it is due to water draining out of the front of the rear door after a rain, but I am not positive. It is a small area and curved so a machine can’t get in there. Do I pick up Revive and use a microfiber applicator to try to get rid of this? The car is Steel Grey metallic and no one can see it but me, but it is sure ticking me off. Thanks.
