  1. Welcome JR! I like the video idea also.
  2. I believe that is the recommendation. I use the waterless towel to remove the dust with the roll as you wipe method. Then I follow up with a plush towel to buff it out.
  3. Thanks Robert, and yeah I probably just need to do a little hand work on the wheels to get the swirls out. right before I took the pic I hit them with G&G then a shot of quick sealant. hopefully that will help protect them. I have some winter wheels I will be putting on before long. Thanks Rich, a Chevelle is hard to beat. they have some pretty sweet lines. The guy who helped me paint this car is doing a 72 right now that will be blue w/ white stripes. Thanks Alex!
  4. Finally, here are a couple pics of my rides. I have some big plans for the Chevelle over the winter. Want to get a Flex or Rupes 15 and get the paint perfect. I did the wet sand and rotary buff myself and it needs a good final polish to get it perfect. Not to mention the junk microfiber I used to use didn't do it any favors. Oh yeah and that's my little helper...or supervisor...he is a little young to help just yet. He loves to "drive" the car though! The truck is in pretty good shape. it has a few light swirls and a couple spots that need corrected but I bought it right out of the PDI so it didn't get abused by the lot boys to bad before I got it. The worst thing about it is the wheels...they are painted and they already have some pretty good swirls in them. if anybody has any good ideas on how to maintain them I'm all ears.
  5. Really like the G&G. Did my 3rd application today and found a system that worked good for me. I used a borderless gray towel wet for application, another dry for buffing off residue then touched up with detail spray and a double soft. I started with just the two towels but doing a CC pickup my dry towel wasn't dry enough to do a good job after about half of the truck. I did one panel at a time and removed the residue as soon as I was done spreading it. I noticed the sprayer problem (not a fine mist but some mist and a blob or two) everyone has mentioned but I don't see where that is much of an issue. You are going to take a towel and smear it all around to even it out anyways. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the product overall, just a little strange if you don't expect it. Has anyone tryed a 32oz dilution bottle w/ G&G in it? Does it have the same spray problem?
  6. Hey Jeff, I am also an Adams noob as of about a month ago. Believe me you won't go back! I have a pretty good start in product already but if had to recommend a starting order I would definitely order something to end up with 2 wash buckets. The rinseless starter kit is a pretty good deal to get all those double softs plus a 2nd bucket. The rinseless diluted 16:1 also makes a good bug gut pre-soak for a daily driver. In the end you will have to look at the products and what you want to accomplish and choose from there. I couldn't choose and went absolutely nuts! Happy shopping!
  7. Thanks for the welcomes! I think I have seen most of the videos on the Youtube channel already! That is mostly what got me started with Adam's products. I really appreciate the time they put in demonstrating and explaining the products and how to get the best results. Thanks, I have a pretty good selection of product already (the mystery box was the 4th order in under a month! ), but I will take you up on that for sure if I need anything. I read quite a bit of good things about the customer support and haven't been disappointed yet! Also, I will get some pics of my rides up as soon as I can. thanks again everyone!
  8. Hey all, Nick from Montana here. New to Adam's and already have a pretty good start. I have a new Silverado midnight edition for my DD, a silver traverse the wife drives and my garage queen, a black 70 chevelle. Love the products so far and looking forward to my mystery box I ordered today.
