  1. If you don't mind me asking how did you layer yours? Did you do paint sealant fist and then brilliant glaze and then 2 coats of Americana?
  2. Another question if I am doing the process of polish, paint sealant, brilliant glaze, and then Americana how long should I wait in between steps?
  3. thanks for the reply ricky...you just use a microfiber towel to wipe down the clay residue?
  4. Well I went ahead and bit the bullet because I noticed that Adams had a memorial day sale going on anyhow, so I bought some more microfiber towels.....the paint sealant and a 6" pad for application of the paint sealant...how are you guys applying the brilliant glaze? by hand or by machine? so my plan is paint sealer than brilliant glaze then Americana....hoping for a good shine after that. Another question are you guys re-washing after you do the clay?
  5. A little more help here. I was watching video for paint sealant and Adam mentioned it was used mostly for daily driven cars. I forgot to mention that this car is only driven on the weekends. Do you still suggest the paint sealant than brilliant glaze than Americana wax?
  6. BG and then Americana wax correct? Can I apply BG later on to add some shine or will that affect the Americana?
  7. the shine won't last as long? what type of upkeep are you guys using in between waxes? detailer spray? another coat of Americana? another coat of brilliant glaze?
  8. Damn it lol I thought I had all that I needed....now I need to buy some paint sealant that will probably have to wait until after I'm able to purchase some more towels....any issues with going straight too brilliant glaze and then the Americana.....?
  9. Here is my plan so far....I am working on a 2000 trans am that has a pretty good shine to it already....but will be starting from scratch with adams.....LMK what I'm missing in the process....my goal is to achieve the most amount of shine and depth possible on my white car.. 1)Wash with all purpose cleaner and car shampoo to remove prior waxes etc 2) Clay 3)porter cable with paint correcting polish and finishing polish 4)paint sealant 5)brilliant glaze 6)americana Here is where I get confused....do I need to use a paint sealant after the finishing polish? what will give me the best amount of shine and in what order after doing the paint sealant and finishing polish. thanks for any help~Chris
  10. I recently just purchased the Porter Cable Polisher basics kit and it comes with the standard 3 pads and the polishes etc.....can I use just one pad to do a whole car? Or will the pads become over saturated and i'll end up having to use more than one? I am tapped out on funds right now (the finance specialist aka my wife) said that I'd have to wait to buy more pads. So can I detail say, her grand Cherokee with just the 3 pads that it came with or will I need to purchase more before I start on her detail?
  11. I would like to see something like this as well.....all of those "mini" videos are great....but what product do you use and when if you want the deepest wettest looking shine? what if you just want to shine up your daily driver....what are the steps and tips and tricks for that...........
  12. Thanks for the input Ricky....what if I want to use Americana paste wax....if i top that with GG will that take away some of the protection of the Paste wax?
  13. I am using a ufo type applicator.....unfortunately i didn't order the interior "package" so I don't know if I was supposed to get an applicator with the leather conditioner itself or if only those UFOs are included in the package....seems to me if you were to send someone a product that required an applicator it would come with one but i'm not sure.
  14. Gotcha. Looks like after about a half an hour it's starting to even out. Looks pretty slick after the second application in the last hour. Did I apply the second coat too soon? How long should I wait in between?
  15. Anybody else run into this problem. Maybe i'm not letting it dry long enough....it was a very hot day here in so-cal and the garage is awfully warm so maybe it takes the leather conditioner longer to dry? I used the leather and interior cleaner on everything first. Than applied the leather conditioner to the dashboard and it looks rather blotchy......did i do something wrong? This is the first time i've used adams products...and it's on my wifes 2013 Grand Cherokee Overland...it's always garaged....also showing some streaking on the leather door panels as well. Thanks for any help~Chris
  16. subscribed for when I detail my white car....looks like G&G is the way to go for us white car guys......but in what order are you guys doing these things? theres just so much product out there that it can get confusing on what to apply and when.
  17. Let's hope so...as it says it's coming fedex....I find it hard to believe that it should take 7 days to get from Colorado to so-cal....just impatiently waiting is all.
  18. So I ordered my first round of Adams products and noticed that the map on the "Contact Us" page shows that it should take 3 days to arrive to my house in so-cal from Colorado! Awesome I'll have the stuff here by the weekend.....get a tracking number that says it will arrive in 7 days....Huh? I chose 5-7 day fedex shipping because it was the cheapest....and assuming that the map was correct when it said it would take 3 days to arrive....guess I was wrong? Which one is right? The map or the shipping selection that I chose?
  19. thanks pirahnah! A question about the detail spray....is it bad to do a full detail spray on, say a car that just got done driving a couple of hours when you get home to bring the shine back? I guess what I'm asking is, is it bad to do the detail spray on a car that hasn't been washed and that has been driven?
  20. a lot of great info in there and I appreciate the step by step help....there is about a million products for sale on the adams website and finding info on which step to do in order has become very difficult.....and if I don't have a "porter" can I still apply everything in which you suggested and still get great results? or is the porter a must?
  21. Forgive me for asking but is that the all purpose cleaner found on the Adams website?
