  1. No tinting. The issue is definitely on the exterior of the glass. When I wipe it with chemicals it disappears for a short period then slowly returns as the chemical dries.
  2. The windshield and rear window of my wife's Civic have issues. Any time they are wet, and given the car is outside all the time every morning it is wet, the winds look like the picture with the windshield wiper. When they dry they look like the other photo. The side windows do not have the same issue. I have tried everything I can think of to clean the windows including Eco-APC, alcohol, Glass Cleaner, washing with Strip Wash, BG and GnG. Nothing seems to have much effect on it. Any one have any thoughts on how to get rid of this streaking/staining? I'll try just about anything short of voodoo at this point.
  3. I washed it with TRC first and then washed the car earlier today. After posting I figured what the hell and went down and I applied the Tire Armor to the rear bumper, and driver side running boards and door handles. The boy is leaving for college so I will check the results the next time he is back.
  4. I have a 2005 Suburban and it has a lot of trim (running boards, door handles, front bumper/valance, rear bumper, etc.). I have not done much to protect it over the years and it is a dull gray now. I do have the Black Trim Restorer but I am not sure I want to go to the full effort for a car with cracked paint that my son drives at college. I was wondering if using Tire Armor would help or hurt or do nothing as that is easier to apply to a large area. Anyone use it for anything but tires? I may just go ahead and try to see how it does before he heads back.
  5. Good meeting Kyle and talking about Adams products. Cool hearing about some upcoming new products that sound perfect for car washing in Florida. Thanks for taking the time Kyle. Enjoy Palm Beach tomorrow.
  6. On my way to see the Adams guys at Destination Daytona for So Clean. Looking forward to seeing the guys I send all my money to...
  7. I just went through a strip wash/clay bar/correcting polish/finishing polish/paint sealant round on my truck this past Sunday. I had planned to follow that up with Brilliant Glaze and then Americana Wax but it was too damn hot and I was worn out after 8 hours. Since I have had time to sit and think I started thinking about putting Ceramic Boost on after the Brilliant Glaze instead of wax. Any issues with putting Boost over Glaze (or over LPS for that matter)? I think I read that some people have used Boost instead of LPS, but I still prefer to used LPS as my primary protectant. I have used Boost before after washing in lieu of GNG and really like how it beads up the water and resists dirt. It is kind of a pain because I have the original Boost which required the car to be dry and can't be used on glass. When I use it up I can't wait to get Boost 2.0. I appreciate any input.
  8. Dude if I waited until it was not forecast to rain in Florida I would never wash anything... so yeah I feel your pain.
  9. Between washes I fold my towels/clothes up and use a rubberband to hold the folded clothe to the bottle. Under the trigger works great if there is a trigger. This method works great for me until the clothe is ready to be washed.
  10. I actually mix in a little of the Ultra into my CS and enjoy a little more suds with regular wash.
  11. I like the geo tool, both for the waffle pattern and to use to grip the clay.
  12. Wow. I appreciate everyone's input almost as much as I appreciate everyone's passion for their car's paint. I will certainly think about the different points made. Follow-up question on the polishing - after the polish has been applied is there a "layer" that is left behind or does all the polish come off leaving the paint free of all protection? Is the Isopropyl alcohol to remove the remaining polish? Would the strip wash accomplish that same thing or would it not be enough? Thanks again for everyone's input.
  13. I live in Florida and right now the weather is either dang hot with lots of sun or rainy and slightly cooler. My garage is only big enough to "tuck" my truck in and not big enough to move around on 3 sides. I want to do a full detail but given the direct sunshine makes the truck too hot and the cloudy periods usually mean rain I have a short period of time in which I can work. Since my time windows aren't long enough to do a full detail I plan to try to break the detail into two parts. Keeping in mind that I will have to drive the car in between the two sessions does anyone have any experience with this and have any recommendations (other than buy a house with a bigger garage)? My thought is to wash, clay and polish in one session and then strip wash, seal, glaze and wax in the second session. Thanks for your input.
  14. I have the factory installed matte black vinyl stripes on the hood and tailgate. Is it alright to use the clay bar on these stripes? Anyone have any experience with this?
  15. Thanks for the warm welcome. Lot of great information in the forums. Takes awhile to wade through it.
  16. I live in Central Florida between Orlando and Daytona.
  17. Proud owner of a 2015 Chevy Silverado - Rally Edition in Victory Red. I saw that some forum members prefer pictures so I have attached a few of my new baby. I have already be getting a ton of crap from my wife about the amount of time I have chosen to spend washing and cleaning my new truck. So far I am new to using Adam's products but have already made use of the FAQs forum for cleaning my vinyl stripes with the Bright Glaze. They had a white haze from a wax job by the previous owner. Following the directions from the video in the FAQ I used the Bright Glaze and the stripes now look great. Looking forward to putting the Leather Conditioner and Paint Sealant products to use. I still need to do my homework on these products and their application methods/tools. Any advice on these is appreciated.
