  1. Hey everyone,

First off, I want to thank Adam's for supporting one of my favorite causes, Toys For Tots.  It's a really great reason to give.

Secondly, while I was at the get together I was absolutely floored with how willing everyone was to help.  And I don't just mean answering questions.  I pulled my Ridgeline in the back and I had multiple people helping me clay it just because they were excited to teach me how to do it correctly.  I have NEVER seen this level of commitment and customer service.  You are all absolutely incredible.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.  Keep doing what you do, and show the world what a real American company is like.

  2. Dude those are sick, did you make those? And so you like the name?

You have to read the whole post man, those are all current companies.  Might be a better idea to rethink the name, unless none of those are in your state.  Research time!  Everyone's favorite part of the LLC process. :)

  3. No problem. Feel free to ask any questions you have from what I used to how I did something.

The biggest thing I found when I was learning was to have the right tools for the job. Not every vehicle is maintained as mine are. Where my vehicles rarely (if ever) need a hot water extractor, most client vehicles do. Purchasing one was a great investment in my time savings. The same thing with having multiple polishers. The right one for each spot saves time. And it allows two of us to work a car faster since we follow each other. There's always more to learn. I learn on every car I do. Sometimes it's a silly thing I realize makes a job easier. Other times it's just that "next level" idea.

I'm learning that.  Mostly I'm learning how damn much I have to learn. :)  But this forum is absolutely invaluable.  As are people like you, Shane.  Keep it up!

  4. Yikes, no WiFi.  Yeah, cell data rates suck.  I don't know about the social media stuff, I'm not on them.

If you want an honest answer, I've gotten through many a deployment with audio books.  Get an Audible account, they don't take very much data at all to download if you choose to.  Then you can play them without streaming, either way, it's pretty low-intensity data-wise. Just a thought.

  5. Do you have waterless or Rinseless wash? The way I typically do it is to presoak the surface with one of those. Then after a few minutes I will spray the contaminants again. Most of the times during the second saturating treatment I notice the bug guts will start to detach on their own. Then a few minutes after that second treatment I use a hose with strong water pressure. A pressure washer or using the coin operated sprayer at the local self car wash would be better. The point is, you want to do as much as possible before you put a wash mitt on it. After rinsing it with water, I like to use a mitt soaked in warm soapy water. You can add APC (an ounce or so) to boost the cleaning power there. Obviously, during the washing process, you can put a little pressure on the mitt to help agitate the bug crud. I wouldnt put too much pressure on it though. I have used my fingernail inside of a rubber glove to gently pry bugs off before. You're really just guiding it off the paint here, not much force is necessary and if it is you'll need to go back to the first step again and maybe move to using APC in the presoak. Be careful there because you don't want to let that dry on the paint and you will definitely need to wax or apply sealant after. It should really slide off after completing all the other steps. Make sure you go to the bucket with the grit guard to get the junk off the mitt frequently as well. Final step would be to rinse dry and repeat if necessary. Hope this helps.

    Awesome, thanks!

I only have a 2oz bottle of waterless, but that should be enough for this process.
