  1. That looks awesome! That's how the addiction starts, with one use of their products.
  2. Judging by your shiny truck, you will fit right in! Welcome!
  3. I have the same mentality so I normally justify my purchases if I absolutely need something or if there is a mystery box.
  4. I know this is a long shot but I have had this idea in my mind for quite some time and I'm sure this may have already been thought of but what if Adams made an app? The app could have everything the forum does plus the ability to store your billing and shipping info so its a one stop shop. Plus you get notification on shipping and stuff of that sort to your phone directly through the app. I know it would basically take a new team to set this up and it would probably take a lot of time but again its just a thought.
  5. I regret not pulling the trigger on the Cinco de Mayo DS. I had it in my cart but I didn't want to pay 20 bucks in shipping.. It sometimes sucks being stationed overseas!
  6. The third picture is after I tried polishing it out. I didn't want to burn through the clear coat so I only gave it like 2 passes with the microfiber cutting pad and heavy correcting compound and one pass with the orange correcting pad. the surface is slick to the touch which is why I was thinking it was under the clear coat.
  7. So I recently purchased another 93 RX-7 and the first thing I did was give it the TLC it needed. Started with a wash then I clay bard the entire car and got it prepped for a full polish. I noticed that in my black FD there was like a line running across the sides but I’m not entirely sure if I damaged the paint when I polished it or if it was just the paint fading due to age. When I was polishing my montego blue FD I started noticing the same type of line. I don’t know if I was damaging the clear coat or if that is just how the paint is on these cars. The steps I took are as follows; wash (ultra foam shampoo) claybar/detail spray lubricant microfiber correcting pad w/ correcting compound (pad brush and detail spray in between panels) orange correcting pad The first two pictures are the lines in question and the third picture is of the trunk where it seems to be damaged paint under the clear coat but I’m new to paint/polishing/detailing so I’m not 100% sure. None of these areas feel rough to the touch. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
  8. Ceramic Paste Wax is back in stock for 99.99. Plus they have a 20% off all Chem and Micro! CPW for 80 bucks is a steal compared to the original price of 250! https://adamspolishes.com/shop/specials/chemical-sale.html
  9. Do any of you know if the Detailing Seat will be re-stocked? I don't see it on the website anymore and when it was, they were sold out.
  10. I have already been receiving a lot of tips from other members! I am very eager to learn more about detailing. Thank you all!
  11. I followed the steps on cleaning the pad and I'm waiting for it to air dry at the moment. Would it be best just to get a new one?
  12. Thanks Dan! Im not too familiar with the language yet but I have two years to learn a phrase or two! Japan is amazing!
  13. New to Adams Polishes and recently got a great start to my addiction! I pulled the trigger on a SK as my first purchase and I got afforded the opportunity to buy a few MBs just days after my first order. Needless to say, I have been amazed by the results on my 92 FD!
  14. So I recently purchased a SK Kit with the heavy correcting compound, correcting polish and finishing polish. I didn't do too much research on polishing and I completely skipped the whole clay bar process. Luckily I didn't damage the clear coat and the results still came out better than expected considering it being my first time, but my concern is mostly on my cutting pad and my white pad for the SK. I washed my car before I polished it but I still noticed a lot of dust/dirt gathering on my cutting pad so I decided to wipe down the area that I was working on with some detail spray and a MF Cloth and noticed a lot of dirt on my MF. Is that mostly dirt or from cutting into the clear coat? Should I replace the MF Cloths and the pads I used? Thanks in advance. I have a black 1992 Mazda RX-7 FD3S.
