  1. Which applicator works best for the buttery (MF or the red foamy one)? And why.
  2. My truck is silver and it is amazing how much the clay cleans the finish are tons of little rust spots all over and the clay pulls them right out, but I take my time and inspect my work and even go back over it if needed. At the rate i'm going it will take me 2 weeks to clay the entire truck, but thats fine as I'm waiting on my PC and machine polishes to arrive , so for now it's just clay a little and apply some buttery wax to protect. So my advice is to take your time and get every step perfect before rushing on. The reward will be much greater in the end. Not to try to take over the thread, but I have noticed my clay seems like it is drying out, if that is even possible. I started claying my truck the other day with about half of a brand new bar and got the bed looking great. Today I started doing the doors and it seemed that whenever i tried to fold the clay it would not smooth out like new. I use plenty of detail spray and even tried to massage the bar with several spray in my hands. I got the rest of the clay bar out that was still new and it was fine for two doors and a fender. I keep the container sealed tight and all product in my cool basement. My truck is silver and it is amazing how much the clay cleans the finish
  3. What products did you use on it?
  4. So you wash your blue MF with your dry towels and ww towels?
  5. I know it depends on how dirty the car is, but in your experience how long have you been able to use the same piece?
  6. I finally did my first claying today on my 2006 F-150. The color is smokestone (it's a lincoln color-kinda silver I guess) and I always wondered why it looked like it was covered in little rust spots. The clay pulled them all out (with some elbow grease of course). It did seem to me that when there was a little less detail spray on the surface, the spots came out easier. And it made a huge difference on the smoothness and cleanliness of the paint/clear. I got the bed done so far and my arms got a serious workout. I tried the shr and revive followed by buttery wax all by hand and don't feel that the shr and revive were worth the extra work due to the clear being in such good shape. But I would like to get the PC and try that with the shr and machine polish to see if that makes any difference or not. Any thoughts? I only used the shr and revive on the tailgate but i used the buttery wax on the whole bed(just to get some protection on there for the time being since I clayed it).
  7. How do you tell when it's time to pitch the clay? I just started using it and I tore off about 1/3 to use so how much life should I expect?
  8. How do you guys/gals seperate your towels for washing? I have the standard blue fluffy MF towels, the Blue Glass cleaning towels, the great white drying towels, the blue waterless wash towels, and the wash mitts, all ADAMS of course. I know the mitts can't be washed with the towels but how should I seperate them? And what wash method works best for each type?
  9. Now that it has been drawn, are there any winners?
  10. I was holding out for the current jackpot of $325 million
  11. That's most impressive. I am looking at getting a used c6z06 in the next few months and was curious on results and pricing of some of the standard mods (headers/full exhaust, cam, cold air) heads may be a little more than I would want to spend but maybe you could make some other good recommendations. Thanks
  12. That sounds sweet. What mods have you done to it? And have you dynoed or taken it to the drag strip?
  13. I'll try washing them, and I'm getting ready to clay later this week. When washing the Adams MF towels, what is the best way to seperate them or can they all be washed together? I have the big white dry towels, waterless wash towels, window towels and lots of the plush blue towels. I didn't know if I could combine or need to eperate. Thanks for the help
  14. I just started using the window cleaner with the blue window wash towels and they leave a lot of fibers/lint on the glass. Any way to avoid this? Also the stickers that come on the towels when new will not totally come off, there is alot of the sticker backing stuck to the towel. Can't say that the towels are very impressive, although the cleaner works great and there are no streaks.
  15. Welcome. Where in Ohio are you located?
