  1. About as far from NJ as can be, SoCal. Hey guys, I haven't had any luck at all with removing scratches/swirls from this car. I went to a local detail supply shop and got the full armament, using their most aggressive compound and a MF cutting pad on a Torq 10FX barely touched these scratches. So now I'm saving for the SK kit.
  2. Oh I wish they were crayon! I'm pretty sure that would be easier that dealing with these scratches. So far I haven't been able to get the paint on this car perfect, but this is my first time trying to correct paint, so I'm just taking it slow and trying to figure it out without jacking up my paint.
  3. Scratches. And what I have on hand didn't even touch them.
  4. So..... one of my children decided that the hood of our BLACK 2017 4Runner would be a wooooonderful place to leave mom a little love note... Well it was time for a full detail anyways. I'll post the results tomorrow.
  5. So... I'm gonna hijack this real quick cause I have no idea where else to put it. After reading this thread I went to the dealer locator page, looks like there is a dealer within 10 minutes of my work. Clinton Norton, but there is no website, and the address is the Murrieta city hall building. Anyone know about this?
  6. I think the closest thing to a spray wax would be ceramic boost. Used stand alone it's essentially a spray sealant/synthetic wax...right?
  7. sounds good! Thanks for the link. I just need to experiment a bit I suppose. Or just start buying gallons lol Hey Chris, I do have one complaint about them, every time I use them I end up hungry! They all smell so stinkin good! ETA: if this is anything like every other forum....
  8. Waterless wash is one of the items I received in my first Mystery Box and my first Mystery bucket, I'm really happy I got them as it is one of those things that would have taken me a long time, if ever, to get around to trying. I tried it this morning before work on my black 4Runner and am very happy with the results! I'm also really happy that I got it twice as I had to use all 4 towels to get the entire car done. So just a bit of free advice, if you have a larger vehicle and want to use the waterless wash I would suggest getting extra towels. I have a question for the group, if the car is just daily driver dirty from a few days of driving would a dilution of WW work ok? I used most of a bottle on our 4runner, I hit a couple areas twice though.
  9. I don't understand the issue. Everywhere you go, if it's sold in a store, it's going to be more expensive than if you buy online. Online sellers don't have the same overhead as running a storefront, storefronts have to cover the lease on the building, the utilities on the building, whatever CS items they offer such as water, coffee etc for customers. Then they have to buy and store large quantities of the product, pay for shipping, pay for advertising, and make a profit on top of that in order to stay in business. I would LOVE to have a store near me that carries Adams products. The only thing close to me is a Detail Garage that is about a 30 min drive from me. I'd happily pay a premium on the individual products to be able to go into a store and pick them up the same day. and potentially get some advice on the products themselves.
  10. The grey MF applicator pad works great, I apply the BG to the leading edge to get into the bottom part of my windshield. I used BG before using paint sealant on our 4runner last time. Still looks great!
  11. I never used the old formula, but I have had no trouble with the new formula by hand or machine. YMMV
  12. Brilliant worked great on my wifes 4runner, after a recent trip to Palm Springs she returned with crazy water spots all over the car from the sprinklers at the resort, wash and wax followed by an application of brilliant glaze completely eliminated the water spots. Keep in mind the 4Runner was already treated with paint sealant and a fresh coat of brilliant glaze before she left.
  13. So, after applying GG rinse the car again with a slow flow of water?
  14. Thanks! I have a '17 Corolla and the family wagon is a '17 4Runner Do you guys have crayon and construction paper?
  15. I just tried the GG on our black 4runner for the first time, it was just rookie error but I wound up with a crazy amount of streaking after finishing the car. I first tried detail spray to eliminate the streaking, that didn't work at all! But it was very cool to see the detail spray completely bead off of the surface as I sprayed it! However, I decided to try a small area and see how the brilliant glaze would do with the streaking.. the brilliant glaze completely eliminated the streaking I had from the GG, despite the streaking being user error. A coating of BG and the car looks fantastic! I just need to figure out the right ratio of water to spray to towel!
  16. Hey everyone, I'm Tyler, former Marine, now selling Toyotas in socal, I just got into detailing for myself, Adams has been a blessing in that they have a simple selection of products that so far have worked wonderfully. cheers!
