  1. 10 minute dwell time!?! wow I usually get nervous and start rinsing too soon lol
  2. So the IR is likely easier to apply but both work equally as well with proper technique is what I'm hearing. Thanks. My Adams wheel cleaner is the new blue stuff I did not know it was safe to use straight. Thanks for that info!! I was planning to use up some remaining "other" wheel cleaner that does require a 1:1 dilution. I just assumed all wheel cleaners needed some dilution. Maybe I'll try side by side of Adams straight and gg diluted.
  3. A family member has a new Tahoe coming next week and I plan a complete decon after the long train ride from Arlington Texas. I have oodles of wheel cleaner and was planning to use it in a 1:1 dilution. Browsing Adam's site I notice the IR product just for the same purpose. Has anyone used both the IR and a wheel cleaner dilution side by side for comparison? I'm wondering if I really need to order the IR. I will if it's substantially better but I'm guessing they are very similar in use and outcomes. Am I wrong?
  4. Broke down and read the instructions. Ceramic boost bottle says "spray on ceramic sealant" cool. I'm guessing the main difference between H2O and CB comes down to the silicon content in CB.
  5. After reading that FAQ, thanks falcaineer, I really want to try the H2O sealant. Is the ceramic boost considered a sealant or a coating. They list H2O as a sealant but ceramic boost is not listed. Maybe the FAQ was written before ceramic boost existed? On another note. How difficult are the ceramic coatings to apply? Is it possible to ruin a paint job with faulty application? Just how forgiving if at all are they? Maybe I will try to ceramic coat this car. The paint is in good shape with no needed correction but I'm scared to apply something semi permanent. Am I just too old school in my thinking?
  6. Thanks for input guys. I think I'll go ahead and try the ceramic boost on my next wash. I plan to spray it on the wet car and then dry/buff just like I do with the detail spray. Thanks again
  7. Hi thanks for any help you guys can provide. I'm kinda new to all these new wax/polymer/ceramic coatings. I've been using a wax/polymer blend as a top coating. But I got a bottle of ceramic boost in a mystery bucket and I'd like to try it out. I'm not sure if I'll ever strip and put a ceramic coating on this particular vehicle. So will ceramic boost give me any benefit over the detail spray I've been using at every wash or dusting? ps...damn that detail spray smells good. I think I'm addicted
  8. Love that color man! Sweet ride. I had a "Sonic Blue" 03 Mustang that was a similar color very sharp in person.
  9. Hi everyone I've posted a few times and thought I should say hello in here. I'm a new "old timer" from the metro area born and raised on cars and burnt rubber. Even though my current DD's and garage queen GTO are all GM. I'm a Ford man from way back, used to quarter mile mustangs out at Milan before life caught up with me. Anyway. I just bought a new Silverado and I've decided to keep it forever lol. Yeah right. so im going to try and keep it detailed like I used to in my younger years. I've always used jax wax and griots for the most part with a little meguiars thrown in. Recently my chevy dealer gave me some free samples of a product I've never heard of. Well the rest of the story is typical I'm sure. I bought a mystery bucket off Amazon and got HOOKED up! $230 worth of stuff for $75. now I'm ordering stuff to replace everything I have and waiting on two more mystery buckets. Everything I've tried so far has been a joy to use. The Detail Spray, hand glaze and Tire Shine are fantastic! I'll never give up my jax cherry wax but thanks Adams! You have a new enthusiastic user of your great products.
  10. Hi from Detroit new old school member here. I've been using griots and jax wax products for years and was recently turned on to Adams when I bought my new truck. My chevy dealer gave me an exterior cleaning kit by Adams sold at gm dealers. Fell in love with the detail spray right away. You know the rest of the story....been buying new Adams products ever since to replace the griots stuff. Some of the Jax stuff will stay in the arsenal though, we go way back lol. Anyway one mystery bucket and a "few" orders later I'm a new Adams convert. I have three shipments in transit as I type this. And two more 3.5 mystery buckets on the way as well ordered last night at 2am. I got it bad man! I'll post some pics when I get it all organized. Currently building a new pole barn. The Adams bottles look slightly out of place on my griots bottle racks. Which by the way are much lighter gage than the Adams bottle holders I ordered last week. The Adams bottle racks and sk holders are VERY high quality. Both blow the griot equivalent out of the water wish I'd found them years ago. Anyway thanks Adams for the great products.
