I greased my swaybars today as well and found out one of the rear brackets was broken and I am not sure when it broke. Oh well, ordered a new one.

Hey Paul, so you washed the G8 yesterday. Good man, remember last year at on this date? The great snow storm of '11. What a difference a year can make.

I hear you on that. I spent 10 hours last year clearing our driveway.

I am planning on a full correction on the G8. It has not had a proper full polish in over a year. Then I am not sure I keep changing my mind on what I want to do, but when I figure it out I will let you all know.

I think about doing the same thing every time I see an unplowed parking lot.

I would spend less and get the superchips.. its a handheld.. I keep it in the glovebox.. what if your car breaks down for whatever reason, are you going to have your laptop on you to flash back to stock before bringing it to the dealer?

I will probably keep the handheld unless my mods outgrow its capabilities. I am hoping that will happen this summer, but we all know how those plans go.

Please let me know how well it works for you, that's one of my future mods besides window tint and a CAI system.

Is your g8 a v8 or v6? If yours is the v8 I hate to say it but you wasted your money on a hand held tuner.

I grabbed mine when I bought my G8 so that I could flash back to stock when bringing it into the dealer for service and what not..

 

with minor mods, cat-back, intake, etc, its plenty..

This was my thought. I pick it up real cheap and could put it on ebay for more than I paid for it with no problem. I like to be able to switch back to stock and the vector tune with their cable giving me the ability to switch is about 600. Also it has to be better then stock. I will probably unload over the summer and get a custom tune but for now this will hold me over.

Picked up a super chips tuner for the G8. I am looking forward to the new power.

A humidor is really the only way to go for long term storage. You can leave them sealed in a bag but they will not last very long that way. Small humidors can be had for around 40 dollars.

Ray, did you get that e-mail about the dinner cruise on Mat 28th? I'm 90% sure I'm going.

I am not sure if I can make it. I usually help two of my buddies out at Beaver Dam Raceway on Saturday nights. However this year we are off to a slow start with some motor problems. If the bad luck continues we will not be at the track that night so I should be able to go. I am also waiting to see if my brother will be back in town that weekend as I imagine he would love to go as well. I will know in the next couple of days.

I had an interesting phone call today from a person I wouldn't expect to call me. My painter called me and we were setting up a day to get my car finished. After we talked about that, we got into my detailing skills. It appears this guy wants to start up a detailing service and was recruiting me to head it up. He also is thinking of selling the products that are to be used on these cars. (You see where I'm going with this?) I will have to have a serious sit down with this guy and get everything figured out before I commit to him. If everything is cool and he meets my demands, I'll be detailing high end cars. And if this does go down, I think there just might be an Adam's dealer in SE Wisconsin. I'll keep you all posted.

Went to a place called the Horny Goat Hideaway last night. For those that don't know, which is probably almost all you, Horny Goat is a brand of microbrew beer and they opened a bar/grille here. Pretty cool place and the beer wasn't bad either.

I knew about it. Their beer is alright.

I did a little test session with a rotary on my Corvette hood. Then for the hell of it I started to wet sand it.... I have never wet sanded in my life. And finally I got to take it out for a joy ride tonight. I forgot how much I missed driving my car.

Careful with the wetsanding. I have done it a few times and I still went through the clear on my G8.

I logged onto the forum and saw the coolest page header ever.

I am getting ready to celebrate earth day correctly, by going to the racetrack and watching some 700 horsepower cars slide around on dirt.
