    Fall

I love Fall. If it were Sept. 15th every day in the Black Hills, it would be just dandy.
  2. Response #1 (from a guy who builds badass Honda engines for a hobby) You can use a noid light to see if the injector is getting a signal. You can use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the plug wire. You can throw some fresh plugs in, reset the light, and see if the code comes back. I would do a little more diag before spending $$ and throwing parts at it. Response #2 Throw a timing light on the number 3 plug wire, rev it up, and if you see the timing light flicker out of sequence or the light quits flashing you will know it's spark related. Response #3 Replace plugs and wires.... Response #4 (also a Honda guy, drag races a an Integra) Those plugs and wires look terrible. * Replace plugs and wires * Reset ECU (pull the ecu fuse and back up fuse in engine compartment or pull battery cable off for a couple min) * If CEL comes back, trying moving the injector to a different cylinder and see if the problem follows the injector.
  3. Ok, so that was a specific product, not a nickname for something else? Does it smell like In-N-Out burgers? If so, bring it back. I don't care what it's for, I'll buy some.
  4. Those charts are usually used to solve problems across all plugs, not just one cylinder. But I am glad you posted it. I get to refresh my memory on plug conditions now.
  5. i'm lost....i have....no idea what i have. what are we referring to in this thread?
  6. I'm trying to obtain Kimbo Slice Awesomeness. It's like Chuck Norris Awesomeness, but you get more booty. This is a No-Shave-Until-May-1st thing. I want to see how long it will get. The 'stache will be trimmed, but not the beard (except for the neck/jawline edge).
  7. I'm gonna ask some of my Honda friends about this. I'll let you know what they say.
  8. I use these types of brushes. Easily found at most home improvement or hobby stores. Just run a small bead of VRT on one side of the pointed edge, then spread it around with your finger so it covers the whole edge. Apply it, and then use another dry or less-saturated brush to do the wiping off of the excess VRT. Also, grab a piece of posterboard 8.5 x 11 to hold against your glass while reaching in there with the brush. Very cheap, and very effective. Hope this helps.
  9. Yeah, the first leg sucked. He started the intial outline, worked all the way around, then went in reverse thickening it up. By the time he got back around to my shin, I was ready to punch a baby. It was about 5 hours after he had started (many smoke breaks!), and it was so sensitive that I was seriously on the verge of tears. I can take a lot of pain, but that was baaaaaad. So that's why my left leg has a strip of only the thin outline. The next day, we changed things up (along with me popping my vicodin). He thickened the line immediately after throwing it down, and worked his way around my leg just once. Not only was it faster, it was less painful than going back over an irritated area 4 hours later. Well, and the vicodin had me feeling nothing. I just laid there and watched youtube videos the whole time. I can't wait to get them finished, but it's going to be at least another 40+ hours. Still haven't decided how to appraoch the background of the flames, although I am leaning towards black/purple/gray smoke with some 3D depth. The flames themselves will be old school yellow to orange/red. I think the contrast of 1D over the 3D background will be cool.
  10. These are from a month ago. This one is from about 7 minutes ago.
  11. I have found that taking 3 5/500 Vicodin about 90 minutes prior to getting ink (i had 2 days of 5 hour sessions back to back cutting the outlines on my legs) makes things much easier. Day 1 sucked, couldn't even finish thickening the outline. Day 2 was cake thanks to the pills. It's been 6 months, so having gotten done my knuckles done (1 hand is swollen due to breaking it in a fight the previous night) and Frylock on my arm it's about time to spend a couple days in Memphis knocking out the next stage of my legs.
  12. Thanks for all the kind words, guys. I build my stuff to my liking, never putting any consideration into what others might think, but it's really cool when people compliment you on what you've done. As for the black wheels, it was a tough call to make. I was hoping that they would remove any immediate focus from the stock wheels, as they really stand out against this blue, and instead, shift the focus to the color of the car. I am pretty certain I accomplished my goal, as most people see the color first, then the wheels. And I think the black flows well with the dark tint.
  13. Oh yeah, I felt dumb when I lifted my trunklid and found what appeared to be foam packed in to the water channel due to the suds being so concentrated. And I was also concerned at how often I was going to have to resupply my car shampoo,, going thru a fully filled canister every carwash. I will have to try a 1:5 or 1:4 ratio next time.
  14. Thanks, guys. Seems to be a lot of G8's on this board.
  15. yer gonna love it. i'll never buy anything but Adam's again as long as they have what I need.
  16. Wow. I love me some SL65.
  17. That Westleys Blech-White (sp?) stuff works pretty well.
  18. Haha, that's because there's not many of us that are young and single. Here's a few more pictars: This was after a fresh wipe-down with Adam's Super Plush and Detail Spray.
  19. TrUcKeR here, checking in. Learned of Adam's through the G8 forums. Subsequently ended up buying the P/C Machine Polishing kit, the Complete wash kit with foam gun, and a bunch of other stuff. Love me some Adam's. I have an 09 G8 GT, and an 07 Hayabusa. I own http://www.fourdoormafia.com, and am part of Ground Zero 605, a friend/car club in South Dakota. We have our own amateur MMA fight team, and a bunch of nice cars that we actually race (legally) with. As you can tell by my name, I am a trucker driver. 48-state glass haul, although not much glass is being hauled now due to the lack of building going on. Anyways, on with the pics.
