  1. I have not tried that as I do not have tire and rubber cleaner.
  2. First, I apologies if this has been mentioned before. I could not find this exact question. With that said, my question is, that if the rubber on the door has been etched by someone waxing over that rubber trim, how do you remove it it? I have tried everything in my arsenal and nothing seems to work. Is this permanently etched in or can it be removed. If so, by what product? This is not on my car, but a friends that I was helping out.
  3. I did forget that that cutting wears away the CC, but since getting the car, I never did a real paint correction until a couple of weeks ago. We had three day holiday, so for three days, I detailed this car, taking step by step methodologies to make the paint perfect. Now I see blemishes as shown the above pic, it eats at me a bit. I am thinking I should have gone more aggressive now. Maybe the MF pad and the orange correction solution. This is the problem with a white car. 😉
  4. Thank you guys for the reality check. It was driving me a bit insane as I tried to create a baseline of a flawless finish
  5. I know this is a tuff question, but for a daily driver, what is an acceptable amount of surface scratches? A percent is a bit vaque to me, I need to know what is acceptable to you and to a professional detailer. Attaches are my scratches, and now I feel I have to tear down the paint sealant and do paint correction all over again
  6. Good to know, I would not have gotten that from HGG.. LOL
  7. You need not to understand my friend, for you just answered my question. 😊
  8. So what I need ed to do at most is just as in a few weeks or months?
  9. I was wondering, I have paint sealed and waxed my car. If I choose to polish my car, say with one step, will this harm or do anything to the paint sealant that I have applied?. If I wanted to get more shine and protection should I simply just wax since I have already paint sealed and waxed?
  10. Ultimately, i still see a few tray surface scratched when you squat down and look at certain angles, but it is okay since it is my daily. I just wish I could get everything
  11. I thought as much, but did not know how resilant the sealant would be.
  12. I have just recently sealed my vehicle and I was curious that if I clay bar the vehicle a week from now or couple of weeks from now, if that could harm the sealant. I know generally I would just need to wash the vehicle and wax in about a month or so, but would running the clay bar over a sealed paint harm the ceiling at all?
  13. I was debating on the FP and looked alot on Adams videos and what I found, though I could be wrong, is the the FP is just to add more shine. The Americana wax brings the luster out equally as the FP, but just last a bit longer. If I am way off on this correct me. I am still learning And thank you
  14. I have finished the 2 days of detailing my car, thanks to this forum. Here is the results.. Special thank you to Shane for all his advice All products used was by Adams.. Strip wash Viso clay Orange correcting polish and pad Paint sealant and pad Americana wax
  15. I agree with Falcaineer. Start with the least amount of correction and slowly work up from there. If this has a softer clear coat, it may need nothing more than an orange pad and the corresponding correction polish. If you have a machine for your polishing work, use it. If not, consider one in the near future. It will make detailing your car easier and more pleasurable.
  16. Thank you Shane, that is what I wanted to know. It would have sucked to have gone through the hours of work on the ceramic coat and then spray on something that would just peel it off or damage it in some way.
  17. What do you mean, "Take polish to it"? Normally after washing the the car, I bring it in the garage, dry everything and spray Ceramic Boost on the wheels and caliper.
  18. I searched the forum for this and even asked Adam's with no response, so I am hoping you guys might have more an idea. I have read where people talk about the Adam's Strip wash and if the Strip wash will remove ceramic coating. Considering those two items found, my issue is that I have recently used the Adam's ceramic wheel coating on my wheels and calipers. so my question is, will the Adam's Strip wash remove or damage the ceramic coating on the rim and calipers? Do I have to cover my wheels before applying the product?
  19. 3M is okay, but be careful, they have been known to yellow quickly. Rich is correct, the new stuff is suppose to be better, but for the money, I would go with XPEL. It has a 10 year warranty and guarantees it will not yellow. That is what I have deciced to go with on my car.
  20. Touche'. If the person wanted to spare the expense, it is a great option.
