  1. UHM... SWEET! I just got one of these! Printing this off now! Thanks for taking the time to post it up! So you don't want to spray a bit of detail spray on the applicators like you do with the hand applicators? Chris
  2. I noticed that it can be used on Fiberglass/gelcoat. I assumed that it was silicon free! That's great news as I will be using it on the boat. Can I ask you what the dark brown substance at the bottom of the container is when it sits? It literally looks like engine oil. I got a new Gallon which had probably 2 tablespoons in the bottom where as the other had very little. Jason sent me a new one NQA and the new one looks to have NO "oil" in it. Shaking up the "oily" ones doesn't seem to make it go away. Not worried about it too much. Just wondering what it could be and if it's OK to use.
  3. Because he doesn't do it himself. I won't pay someone to do something I can do easily. Some just don't have time to spend doing this stuff. Good job!
  4. Tell me if you know what it is! Have this on me iPhone as well.
  5. Nope! I don't either. Pontiac G8 GT several bikes and a F-150 but no Vette. I'm all over FI engines. My buddy has a Civic with a turbo on it which is pretty mild at 300WHP and my brother has a Legacy GT stage 2 with almost 250WHP which is fun too.
  6. ELITE all day long! NQA! You get what you pay for.
  7. THIS is why I come here!
  8. I get 27mpg on the highway! About 18 of mixed!
  9. Oh yeah I don't have choice but to fold it a lot. It gets warm and gets pretty soft. Yesterday wasn't too bad because the car was probably 35ºF so the clay stayed cool and kept it's shape. Oh and I don't know about the rest of you, but I wear latex gloves when using the clay so no matter what color the DS is it won't make a bit of a difference to me. Chris
  10. AWESOME! Sounds good! Welcome!
  11. I'm sorry... It's like walking into a Wal-Mart... You instantly lose 10 IQ points just watching the damn thing! Yeah the closest thing I'll use to it is an Absorber. Used them for years on boats with GREAT success. Neither will touch my paint though. The Absorbers work GREAT for drying the dogs after a wash or a swim.
  12. I used a CD for years but with my new black G8 nothing but a micro fiber and the foam DA pads touch it. I DO use the CD on my bikes. It's easier to get the dust off the engine with.
  13. I guess what would help me and I'm sure others as well is maybe a thread on the dual uses of each product. I use your DS on the car while drying now and it DOES make a difference but Griots does have two specific SKU's. One for detailing and the other for the "wax" after washing. Just wondering. I would agree and am happy to hear you say he's your fav competitor because he does have some good stuff and who ever he has doing his cats does an AWESOME job marketing his product. The duel use thread could be started by you or your team members and then added to by all the long time Adams users that have found different uses for things that they weren't specifically designed for. Just a thought! Chris
  14. I use mine on my daily driver which gets driven in the snow and salt of the our beautiful Midwest winters. I washed mine yesterday and felt the "crap" right behind the wheels and the rear bumper which literally feels like small rocks stuck to the paint. The clay takes them off but my thoughts are that these things are NOW in the clay right? Can't that harm the finish later? Oh and I washed the car twice and it still had the "crap" stuck to the paint. Thanks for your help! Chris
  15. Coming from a family of Audi's, Mercedes, Porches, BMW's, Volvo's and Jags. I have to say the new Pontiac G8GT is a car you need to look at. I have one and it's NOT what you think when you think Pontiac. At least go and test drive one. Can't hurt!
  16. I would imagine ya'll look at what your competition has out and try to develop like products that perform to the same or higher standards right? I just got a Griots catalog the other day and they have a few neat things that ya'll don't offer (in name) anyway. A couple of the things that stood out were the waterless car wash (which it sounds like you may be working on), after wash spray on wax (which you spray on between the water blade and toweling process, the dried wax remover for plastic and other surfaces, and the glass polish and glass polish specific DA pads. Just wondering if these are things you too are looking to come out with. I LOVE your products and LOVE coming here and learning more about how to use them and use them correctly. Thanks for offering us this forum. Chris
  17. I just got your clay bar in my new PC DA kit I got and haven't tried it yet. I have always used the Griots yellow hunk. It's VERY big and having never used another one I have to say it works VERY well too. I like the color because I can see the contaminates in it. How many times do you think we can use your bar? I need to weigh yours and see if it's as big as what I'm used to... (wow that sounds bad!) Forgive me but I have used Griots stuff in the past and am just now changing over to your stuff so I still have stuff to use up from them. With my Griots bars I always sprayed them with the detail spray and then sprayed some into the screw top container and then sealed them away. I store all my cleaning supplies in the basement in the winter too. Thanks, Chris
  18. I don't have any vanity plates on my car or truck but I do on two of my bikes. Poor pics but you get the jest! The 2WIN is actually said TWIN as the bike is a 996CC Vtwin. Then 4gasem is said like Orgasm but with a 4 because it's a V-4. If I got vanity plates for the G8 GT I would go with Chewy. My G/F named my car that. She says the exhaust sounds like Chewbacha! (sp?) lol
  19. Cool! Thanks for the help Nitelord!
  20. Welcome! Bimmer fan myself! My parents have three of them. Great cars.
  21. I got your Porter Cable DA starter kit and a gallon of your detail spray. Loving it! Now it's only 8º
  22. Well my parents were kind enough to get me the Porter Cable DA starter kit ya'll sell. Looks great but since it's only 8º outside it will probably be a while before I use it. Looks great though. What other pads would you professionals recommend from what I got in the kit? Chris
  23. Mine is of course my best friend. Here you can see him on the boat and then out swimming with me. He's a great dog! If anyone is looking for a VERY loving sidekick that's great with kids buy a Golden Retriever. He's NEVER EVER had a bad day or growled at anyone out of anger. Speaking of boats... How does your buttery wax work on Gel coat? It's Silicon free right? I don't want it to yellow the gel coat. Chris
  24. Ouch... That hurts! It's a GREAT car... Am I making you feel better? lol J/K
  25. Works great Adam. The ONLY issue I have had with it is that it turned blue when I cleaned it with the blue micro fiber towels... Does this mean that it's not as soft? lol Just kidding. Works great. I actually took your recommendation of spraying the car lightly with your detailer and then drying and WOW it seemed to soak up better. I think it was in my head but man... Came out like a baby's butt! Chris
