  1. Thanks for the help, I just want to make the paint pop really well and being in south Florida make sure I have good hydrophobic property.
  2. Yea I called and asked them and a couple of days later this poppped up lol. Just got to buy some, I was hoping ceramic boost will hold me over till I build up the coffers again
  3. Thanks for the feedback, the top on the mustang got replaced last month from vinyl to cloth. I just want to keep its hydrophobic properties
  4. Kodiak Brow n f150 and Screaming Yellow Mus tang
  5. Thanks, I was thinking PS, BG, Americana. But I just realized I didn't order Finishing Polish on my last order Might need to wait till next month as I spent a lot of money over the last month on Adams products and I am supposed to be paying for a wedding... I don't think my fiance would be happy if I missed a payment on our venue for polis because let's be honest you cant just order one thing when you make an order for Adams, you always add extras lol.
  6. My fiances truck is Kodiak brown it looks black during the day brown at night and is a metallic flake paint. I am sure it will look awesome once done. The scratches I was the heavy correcting for are not deep enough to catch my nail but still bad enough that turtle wax swirl remover did not remove them a few months ago, that was before I learned of Adams products. I also need to get some ceramic coat for the new top on the Mustang unless I can use the ceramic boost to protect it.
  7. Thanks, I will make sure I take pictures before and after, I am also doing my mustang and know I need the heavy correcting compound in some areas on that due to some heavy scratches. I am also not worried about ruining the paint because the whole car needs to be repainted. The previous owner didn't care for it to well and it has missing paint on the hood and edges of the door, handle, and the bumper has some nasty chips so figure I may work out some techniques on that paint. I also just realized I never ordered Adams finishing polish... all I have is polish and seal by stoner which I never used and not sure if I want to, I have no experience with it but bought it from a detailing store that was closing a couple of years ago.
  8. I am about to paint correct my fiances truck soon and want to know the best product combo. I know to do the following in these steps: Strip wash iron remover clay bar heavy compound as needed correcting polish finishing polish paint sealant Here is where i am not sure, do i go: brilliant glaze Americana wax then h20 g&g or skip brilliant glaze and go straight to Americana and g&g? Here is a picture of everything I currently have to work with.
  9. Thanks , they are not putting but scratched and oxidized a lot.
  10. I recently discovered that my Fiances truck has chrome cladded wheels. After having some off road over the course of the last several months the wheels are looking a bit dull. Would metal polish work or should I use something else? I never heard of chrome cladded till the other day when talking to someone on facebook.
  11. Welcome to the addiction lol
  12. You should order a couple, almost my whole collection except for the trim restore and clay came from mystery boxes and buckets. I have 2 more mystery boxes coming and 2 more mystery buckets on their way as well.
  13. Welcome, make sure you try everything, Mystery boxes and buckets is how I got my start and is a great way to test out products. Also, nice truck!
  14. Thanks, I will try that this weekend. If they are coated I may be posting some metal polish up for trade on facebook haha.
  15. Welcome! On my daily driver a 06 Screaming Yellow Mustang Pony edition I did the following and it looks awesome. Strip wash Clay Correcting polish Rinsed Coating prep of some sort Sealant Paste Wax I do this about every 3 to 6 months depending on the Florida weather. Washes in between I do Car shampoo with a foam cannon weekly Rinse off with a pressure washer Use a blower to dry Other Wash about every 3rd week Rubber Cleaner on rubber seals especially for my convertible top Car Shampoo with a foam cannon Rinse I use a hydrophobic product I have been using Adams for about a month now after buying my first bucket and absolutely love their products, I have used many products in the past but since switching to a full Adams line up the daily hasn't looked nicer.
  16. I have done that a few times, that why I always keep extra clay on hand.
  17. Normally if I am working on a car that I just bought or after long road trips then I will only use it once oneon the paint then downgrade it to wheels. When I am up keeping my cars which is normally year round I will use a clay bar about every 3 months and it will last me 2 cycles of this on both my car and my fiances truck. Just got to make sure you fold it often, store it properly, and make sure you can always find a clean spot. If you cant find a clean spot then its time to downgrade it to wheels. Just how I use clay.
  18. My fiance has a 2014 F-150 with chrome bumpers and side rails. I got metal polish #1 and #2 in a mystery box from Amazon and wanted to know if I can use that on factory chrome. I looked on youtube and saw them talk about polished aluminum wheels but not specifically chrome. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
