  1. That is excellent work, but it is still a chevy... totally joking!!!
  2. Good, I can retire and stop being such an ***!
  3. Yeah I can see how you would appreciate an extended warranty! Especially since its plenty fast already! I agree with you on the differences of opinion, some forums get out of hand and some people cannot keep a positive attitude. Its as if they are on the forum to spew information they know to boost their own ego. Then when somebody disagrees, they jump the gun and get a little emotional. Bye the way, I rule, and know everything...<!-- / message -->
  4. Well I don't really want to start any battles here, but the "chemical" part of the metal polish is what scares me for the longevity or integrity of the plastic. I dont remember Adam saying anywhere to use it on headlights, unless Im missing something. But then again, feel free to use the stuff, then more people can hire me and I can fix all those dull lights! You can have abrasive all day long on those headlights, as long as there is enough material left to finish in 1500 grit and buff to a shine. To tell you the truth, I thought brilliance was for metal, windows, or to add an artificial shine to the paint. You dont really want it on rubber or plastic because of the solvent content. I also do not know exactly whats in there, but I can promise you it has mineral spirits in it just by smelling it. Hey if it works for you than Im not going to be one of those people that tell you what to do. I like the new Dodge Challenger by the way. I just gave a thumbs up to a guy when I pulled up next to him! I cant wait to see what the aftermarket comes up with in regards to supercharging that badboy!
  5. Metal polish is not the thing to use on plastic, not to be negative, but most metal polishes have a high mineral spririt content and you will notice the surface dull out even worse after a couple washes when the filler washes off, just as you probably dont want to use brilliance on the headlights. Just trying to warn anybody who read that and does it on their $100,000 corvette. Im not trying to harp on you, the truck came out fantastic nonetheless!
  6. That is nice work! I have that same truck, there is some serious sq. footage in those panels! Although mine is missing the deer blood. Hey if you can high speed, you could have hit those headlights with some 400 grit paper, then to 1500 grit, then buff and could have made an extra 50 on your invoice, just a thought. Congrats on your hard work!
  7. A heat gun or hair dryer also works great to get raggtopp to cure up in a hurry!
  8. Last I checked which was years ago, Raggtop is the only product approved by Hartz which is usually the maker of your top in most OEM apps. Its the only stuff we use, heres a before/after shot. Scroll down a little to view it. Ive been trying to get Adam to look closer at this product, but you know... Conv Top Treatment
  9. Nothing like a STACK coming from underneath the truck bed and blowing tons of black smoke and 500 hp!
  10. No sorry, but I did grow up playing a little hockey, some ice, but mostly roller. My dad's name is Chris...
  11. I bow down to you for working with that department. That is a great department but also a "no mess around" department where after you complete the rigorous hiring process you "get to" go into their academy and "hope" to pass it! I came across this intense video on youtube, check it out guys. Nothing like pushups and jumping jacks in your business attire!! Looks like the lady halfway through the video actually could recall the core values of the department and remained standing! It annoys me when people do not respect what the PD does for the community. Not only do they respond to domestic problems, but theyre presence allow paramedics/firefighters to help save somebody's life in the event of a shooting by providing scene safety. Poeple also don't understand that the officers' safety comes first while watching the occasional police brutality footage on the news. Thanks for doing what you do!
  12. I will try to make it, but have a test to study for thats on monday. Bummer fest 2008, wish I could be there!
  13. Thanks! I do so many cars a week by hand that I had my wife sew me up some nice big applicators. They are made out of one of those beefy industrial sponges and microfiber towels. I use the Adams pads for all my interior stuff though, good stuff!
  14. For the record, not to toot my own horn here, but you carry a microfiber applicator because Adam and I raced to see who could wax each side of his truck faster, me all by hand with a MF applicator, or Adam with the DA and foam pad. I won and Adam gave those pads a closer look!!
