As an update on the Cayman S, I washed and clayed the car yesterday. There was a gritty feeling on the paint that is no longer there but sadly, there are a handful of rock dings on the hood that I doubt polish will solve. The car still looks good prior to any additional processes from 3 feet away. The hood is probably where I will start though.

I bought the 3 step with a PC years ago when I owned a jet black car. I never got around to using it once and most of the stuff is still in plastic. I recently bought a Porsche Cayman S in yellow and now, I want to clean her up. I am the second owner and the first clearly didn't understand car care. However, when I returned to the Adam's site, it appears they don't sell/use what I have and now I don't have much of an idea of what I have or how to use it.
I have orange pads, white pads and black pads in 7", each of those plus a red in 4" and a white pad and what appears to be microfiber on top.
I do know that white goes with white and that is where I should start after a wash and clay. I would like to use the PC to apply wax but don't have the foggiest how to do that. I don't know what the next step up is (machine polish or the orange), if I should bother as a novice, how hard the paint is from Porsche and what this white pad w/black top is for.
I do know "how" to do this but am I missing a step? What is the best steps for applying wax when I am done/what do I need to do it................but more importantly, I don't want to mess up my car.
So confused

They are absolutely amazing cars. I stumbled across one and had to have it. I have not been disappointed. They are a blast to drive, quicker than you would think due to power/weight and handle really well for 50's technology. You basically have a choice of two, Special Edition or Vintage. You cannot go wrong with either but this one is a Special Edition. I have had it for about 3 years now and I am 6'1. There is plenty of room once you are seated but there is a trick to getting in. Someone a little taller than me could still drive one with no/minor modifications. If you need some help or advice, PM me and I will give you my email. There are some pointers I can give you when searching or standard information you should know before buying one.
