Maybe TRC?
Hmm that may do the trick. Of course its one of the Adams products I don't currently own...and I own a bunch lol.
I may buy some to try. Thanks!

Morning folks! I bought a brand new set of dumbbells for my garage gym and wanted to clean off this slick oily residue from the rubber hex weight bar of them. Which product would be safe to use? Maybe even condition them after cleaning using VRT?
Thanks!

Hey John, I got my sidekick second hand and it didn't come with the fan attachment. I've been looking for one, but it doesn't seem like metrovac sells the attachments separately so I would have to order a whole new machine to get the attachment. Would you (or anybody) be willing to give that up?
Hi Yo-Yo. I plan on holding onto the attachment but if anything changes I will let you know.

Also I tested the two attachements...the long cone shaped verse the wider short attachement. The long cone shape is definitely my favorite...blows the air so much more powerfully. I'll probably never use the other attachement. I'm thinking the negative reviews on Amazon were using the short wide attachement which I noticed didn't really blow the air all too well but the long attachement was just crazy good.
Also had my 5 year old stand in front of me. She has long hair and I tested it on her...she had a blast and I got to see how powerful this thing was. Lol

Do you mind posting a picture?
Sure no prob. Here is the one I received. It stopped raining this morning so I tested it out on my truck. I must say this small thing is super powerful...I'm blown away (no pun intended lol). I was a little worried due to some of the Amazon reviews but not anymore after real world testing.
Now I don't think I'll dry my whole Truck but wheels and crevices are a must do...heck maybe even windows etc. Best purchase I've made this year besides my 2019 Tahoe. 👍😊

I bought a sidekick today as well. The strange thing is that in my orders it shows a different unit. Not the Adams one but a black metrovac it looks like. Does yours also? Let me know and please post a pic when it arrives. Thanks sir!
Yes on my Amazon order page it was black but I just got mine a few days ago and it is indeed white with the long cord so I am set. Unfortunately fedex didn't handle it well and the air nozzle part where air flows out from was a bit dented up but not too bad.
Tested it out and the tiny blower is very powerful...was actually shocked how much so lol.

I picked up some Wheel & Tire cleaner. On bottle it says not safe for polished aluminum. My Tahoe wheels are polished alloy. I am thinking I messed up on the purchase as someone said modern aluminum rims are alloy. 😔

Thank you!
I also received my master blaster...having a feeling I am going to love this thing! It came with 2 attachments...any idea as to which one is better to use?

Morning folks. Still haven't got around to my full detail project of the Tahoe. But I am taking a vacation day off work in 2 weeks and plan to hit it then weather permitting. My question is are the polish/sealant products I bought safe to apply in cold weather? Here in Northern California maybe 50-60° during the day. Thanks!

Scored the sidekick blaster on Amazon for $79.99 + 20% off coupon amazon had going with free shipping. Also a 6 pack of the grey borderless towel pack for $28.79 + 20% off coupon on amazon. Good times!

Can you guys give a recommendation for the best Tire/wheel cleaner? I see a few different Adam's cleaner products confused as to which one to try. I will use the regular foam car shampoo but once in a while want to deep clean the tires. Thanks!

Guys I am pretty darn worried about using this waterless wash to clean the vehicle and not scratching it! Any tips? How much WW solution do I need to spray onto the paint, I am thinking I need to really coat the paint so when I wipe it off it doesn't scratch? Also can I use 2 towels for the whole truck? I did a test and I can see a lot of dust/dirt on the towel and am like how am I NOT scratching the surface lol.
In my mind I am like I NEED water and soap lol. Haven't used a product like this ever...so my mind is playing tricks on me.
-
Going to buy that VERY soon! 👍
Side note: I have the waterless wash kit coming in today. My plan for maintenance is 1 week foam cannon wash and the following week do a waterless wash + DS and repeat....forever lol
I am wondering if I can get away with just 2 waffle weave WS towels or do I need more for the Tahoe. 🤔

John when I saw you had a Tahoe, I read every post. Im on my 3rd Tahoe its a Summit White, w/ Black accents (no chrome) 2019 Premiere RST.
When I got it last September, I washed it as soon as I got it home with Strip Wash, Iron Remover, then hit it with GnG. And about a month later I did a coating on it.
Previous versions were
2008 Black
2016 Black
Anyways, I love them and take the utmost care of them.
Here is my process as I am 100% Adam’s compliant 😬
The Tahoe is ceramic coated
3 buckets, grit guards in them all, and the rinse bucket also has the wash board.
Pressure wash off light dirt.
Mega Foam entire vehicle
set up buckets and start wheels and tires.
When done wheels and tires, rinse entire vehicle.
Foam a second time then start hand washing.
Rinse again when all done.
I blow dry 70-80% of the water off, including all hidden areas.
Then finish drying with the ultra plush and one of the following
Detail Spray
or
Ceramic Waterless
or
Ceramic Boost.
This Tahoe is sort of my garage queen. It is reserved for nice days and long family trips. It is quick and a ton of fun! My daily is an 2001 Silverado and we use my wifes CRV for errands and closer family gatherings.
There are 2 other Tahoe forums out there as well, I dont check them often, as I am on here daily. But certainly reach out if you need anything.
Hi Nick thanks for reaching out! I have a 2019 myself, Pearl white color (forgot the real name). Beautiful Tahoes you have there. This one is my truck as we have a 2018 Honda Odyssey for the kid hauler and my wife has her Lexus as her DD to work.
Once I get some time to clean out my garage my Tahoe will be going in the garage. Thanks for the wash tips appreciate it. You know this thing is so big I am darn near about to order the Adams side kick blaster to help dry the truck faster. I do have 2 of the ultra plush large drying towels that are probably the best drying towels I've used but I want help hitting the hidden areas as after I am done water still drips down in certain spots.

Lol! Well just my luck I am here in northern California and we were hit with power outages and huge winds so now the truck is super dirty from this construction near my house! I will take pics for sure next go around.
I also just realized I used H20 G&G on the headlights...did I mess up?

Washed truck today and used the H20 G&G afterwards. Looks/feels amazing like a freshly waxed vehicle! This will hold it over until I can do the real job.

Hey guys, do you think I need to apply wax after the LPS? My plan right now is still polish/LPS/H20 GG. Not sure if I even need the butter wax throw in after LPS? Thanks!

To be honest I am not sure what it is. I got them brand new they were in boxes so I am thinking its not dried blood? Maybe rust. I'll try the iron remover thanks!
