As the title states, when I was younger I would wash and take care of my vehicles, basically because I had nothing better to do.  Life happens and you all know how that goes.  I have had my truck for 18 years, for being a 20 year old truck she looks amazing.  My car was a divorce present to myself 11 years ago after an assignment to Korea.  Both are stored during the winter.  I just want to make them pop more than usual.  The truck could probably use a good clay bar, the car seems ok.  I just found out about Adams Polishes and ordered the Waterless wash, have not used it yet, but looking forward to see how it works out on my truck; which gets driven about 2-300 miles a year.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Check out the cs3 and other sprays like detail spray for some pop.

  2. So I've got a big Scratch on the rear of my professionally ceramic coated truck.

I bought Adam's Scratch & Swirl Remover and tried it. But it didn't work. So I tried again with the orange hex grip and two microfiber towels. I tried two small drops, and 4 large drops. And several times, several different ways. And nothing seems to be working.

What can I do to fix the scratches?

See attached, it's not deep on the surface. I can't get it with a fingernail, it's almost smooth.

  3. I have the same problem with my asphalt drive way, we seal it every year but it still soaks up the blue wheel cleaner and leaves white stains.

Spraying the driveway before helps, but since our driveway isn't perfectly straight; the pools of cleaner collect in spots.

But I'll take a messy driveway in exchange for some clean wheels and cars.

Re-activating with Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating then wiping away pretty quickly, or Brilliant Glaze and microfiber applicator pad could work. Polish and a microfiber towel should also work, too, just apply a few drops to the towel and work into the spots. Or use a machine polisher, blue foam pad and some Compound.

I used up the Graphene, and I don't have any Brilliant Glaze; however, now might be a good time to buy 1 get 1 for me!

Definitely don't have a machine polisher, but that's next years wishlist item for sure!

For the future, I would recommend spraying the applicator and not the vehicle itself with the coating.  If that is not how you got the overspray and got it by it bypassing the applicator, then I know exactly how that can happen, so now I turn away from the vehicle.

As for removing the coating from the window, it usually comes off pretty easy.  Use Adam's Glass Cleaner along with a microfiber towel and it should come off.  If that doesn't work, again with the Adam's Glass Clear, use a plastic razor blade.  If you don't have any plastic razor blades you can pick them up at any big box drug store and they very cheap.  Plastic razor blades are handy for getting tree sap, tar and other objects off paint, just make sure you use lube first.

As a last resort you can polish the overspray off just like you would on paint, just don't use anything harsh for a pad or product since window scratches are usually permanent.

Yep, 100%  I don't have any plastic razors; but I'll get some and try that.

  6. Hey, quick question:  so I used all of my Graphene spray coating on my car and it looks great. However, I didn't cover my windows and I didn't even think I was overspraying or hitting the windows. So I let the car sit in my garage for 3 days and now, I went back to see the windows covered.

What can I do to fix or remove the Graphene Ceramic Spray from my tinted windows now that I missed it?

It looks like the windows are covered in spots and black dots.

Not sure where you are located, but I use Rinseless Wash 95% of the time for my cars.  We rarely drive off the highway, and do not have harsh winters (so no salt, etc.).  If done correctly it is safe, and can remove most dirt and grime.  I have never done a traditional wash on our (purchased new)  2017 Accord, and the paint looks almost perfect.

We are in DC, and almost all our driving is city. Some wet humid months and a bit of snow sometimes.

I have used the Ceramic Spray Coating on several Tonneau covers and Convertible tops, including one the was over 20 years old.  The old top required two rounds of cleaner and then three rounds of conditioner and then I let it cure indoors for a week before applying the Ceramic Spray Coating.   Whatever process you are going to do, pick a test spot and try it.  Not all tops react the same to the cleaner and conditioner.  The higher the quality of the top, the more likely that you'll need the higher end products, such as Ragg Top.  For mid grade tops, 303 Areospace seems to be preferred and I keep both in my inventory.   Whichever conditioner you use, give it plenty of time to cure before applying the spray coating and then make sure you follow instructions.

For interior leather, I have found nothing that beats Adam's Leather Conditioner for how it looks and feels.  The Adam's Leather Coating is also an excellent product if you are looking for something with lower maintenance.

    Thanks, I ordered some today.

Are you using any kind of ceramic coating or wax on them to protect the paint?

For the interior, both of my cars have leather interiors. I use the Leather Conditioner on the dash and seats and shift boot, and the Interior Detailer for doors, etc.  Brilliant Glaze is my go to for interior glass.  Floors don't get too dirty, so the Adam's barrel vac works fine for me.

I need a vac. I don't have any interior stuff, so I just ordered the leather cleaner and leather conditioner from Adams.

My interior glass has tint all around on all vehicles. So I don't know what's safe for ceramic tints.

Side note to your question about treating the convertible top.  You want to treat it before washing it, just to be safe. After it's sealed properly, then feel free to use any of Adam's soaps on it when you wash the car.  Won't hurt a thing.

    Thanks.

I applied the Graphene spray coating I had half opened from my previous car 6 months ago. Still worked and we'll see how it looks tomorrow!

    Thank you.

I would apply it early in the morning before the sun comes up or late in the evening when the sun goes down. Protection should never be applied in direct sun. I don't care if it's made to do it or not. It's so much easier in the shade.

I see you went Ceramic Graphene Spray wax which should work out very well for you. It would work much better if you do a proper wash, clay bar , Iron remover and then a full paint correction as needed. Once the paint if fully prepped , the protection layer will work it's best.

I agree with this, and given the Original post conditions; I might recommend you try doing all that prep the night before. So that you can wake up and quickly do the Graphene spray in early morning.

First, welcome! We're glad you're here! What are you now keeping shiny?

What we all use will probably not be the same as what's good for you. Honestly, the combos are endless.

For reference, though, here's a post Adams did on IG. It's not all inclusive, but should give some good insight on shampoo options.
